He has been member and secretary of the Board of Iberdrola USA, a member of the Board of New York State Electric &
Gas, Rochester Gas & Electric and Central Maine Power, secretary and a member of the Board of Iberdrola México,
Iberdrola Generación México, Iberdrola Renovables México and of some of their subsidiaries.
Other industries
Before joining Iberdrola, he held numerous relevant positions in the legal field including Spanish State Chief Attorney,
Lawyer and Counselor of Justice - representing Spain to the European Union (EU), Special Negotiator on behalf of Spain
and/or the EU in different international forums such as the Hague Conference, the ACTA negotiations and the UN,
Chairman of the Civil Law and of the Intellectual Property Committees of the EU Council and of the special group created
to analyze the legal aspects of the economic crisis.
