How to use this Guide This Course Enrolment Guide 2014 provides you with information on when and where the units available for study in this program(s) will be offered in 2014. Enrolling in units for 2014 1. Read Section 3. ‘Program Information’ for information on course structure and unit sequence. Take note of any prerequisite or co-requisite requirements before selecting particular units. A prerequisite is a requirement that must be met by a student before enrolment in a stipulated unit. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the prerequisites for a unit prior to enrolling into that unit. A co-requisite is a requirement that must be met by having already passed or being concurrently enrolled in an associated unit in order to be able to enrol in the stipulated unit. If you wish to enrol into a unit for which you have not met the prerequisite or corequisite requirements, please obtain approval from your Course Coordinator. 2. IMPORTANT NOTE Failure to enrol or re-enrol before the published due dates for re-enrolment on the ACU website (http://students.acu.edu.au/381148) may result in late fee penalties. Program Information The Bachelor of Human Resource Management is designed to provide the knowledge and transferable skills necessary to manage and sustain organisational human resources. This is achieved through innovative teaching and learning strategies that will demonstrate how to enhance organisational capabilities and assist the achievement of an organisation's goals in an efficient and effective manner. The degree seeks to strategically integrate various HRM processes such as recruitment, selection and retention, learning and development, managing diversity, work/life balance, inclusiveness, workplace relations, negotiation, occupational health and safety, globalisation, innovation, remuneration, and employee engagement. The focus of this degree is on student-centred learning experiences which encourage active engagement in real case scenarios, including ethical dilemmas and visions for the future. BIPX100 Professional Experience A There are two additional Professional Experience Units - worth 10 credit points each these are elective units and may be taken by students after completing 120 credit points. These Units have a Professional focus: students learn in the workplace, develop professionalism and business competencies within their disciplinary area.
