MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES
• Highly recommended for silage use within its adapted maturity.
• Excellent plant agronomics will support moderate-high to high plant densities,
especially under irrigated production.
• Roundup Ready and IGNITE herbicide technologies expand weed control
options and provide an alternative for managing herbicide resistance.
• A strong fertility program for silage production is important to maximize
tonnage and maintain the quality of the silage.
• Monitor harvest moisture closely as harvest approaches. Hybrids may be drier
or wetter than physical appearance indicates.
• When storing TMF hybrids in a pile or a bunker, recommended moisture levels
for harvesting range from 65 percent to 68 percent moisture; for bags, 62
percent to 68 percent.
• Moderately hard grain will benefit from a kernel processor.
