Clinical and Research Activities As operating surgeon I personally performed approximately 3500 breast operations with about 1300-1400 visits per year. My efforts regarding clinical research have been focused in sentinel lymph node biopsy, intraoperative radiotherapy, and in the possibility of extending breast conservation in special clinical scenario such as multifocal-multicentric breast cancer, in patients with local reappearance or after primary medical treatment. One of my favourite interests is the study of breast cancer diagnosed in young women or during pregnancy and in field of fertility preservation.
