and rules\responsibilities when taking a babysitting job.

Physical Literacy and You - Drop in and run around, meet other kids,
and exercise. Being physical is an important part of everyone’s life.
Designed to introduce sport and physical activity.
The program is designed with some structured and unstructured
activities. There will be running, jumping, throwing, and other fun
activities.
Day homes and stay at home parents are encouraged to attend.

Oct 6, Nov 3, Dec 1 - 9:15-10:45am:
Oct 22, Nov 19, Dec 17 - 1:15-2:45pm.
Cost: $1 per child, or $5 for a day home
Community Cook
With the winter and Christmas season upon us fill your freezer full of meals.
The concept of the Community Cook is to come together as a group, decide on
the meals to make, then spend a day making all the meals. In that one day
you may take home 10 ready made, just throw in the oven, meals.
Cost: $25 + Cost of food
Dates: Oct 26th - Initial meeting of those who are interested
Nov 9th - Meeting to decide on recipes to make
Nov 23rd - Meal Preparation
Local Nutrionist, Brandy Gassner will be leading the Community Cook.

If you are pregnant or have children under the age of 6 and need to connect with
resources and supports to meet the challenges facing you, this group is the answer for you. Expectant moms and new moms and their babies meet to share
their challenges and find the hope and help they need to make things work.
Meet with a Community Support Worker, Public Health Nurse, Dietician, Healthy
Families Home Visitor and other guest speakers who will be available to answer
questions and offer support so you can:
Learn how to have a healthy pregnancy and a successful labour
Learn important nutrition information and how to cook healthy, affordable meals
Find connections to resources in your community
Strengthen your skills as a parent
Child care will be provided to those participants who register in advance. No cost.
