Application Instructions
ISI Trainer Duties
ISI Trainers have successfully completed the Train-the-Trainer course and are approved by ISI to deliver
in-person EnvisionTM Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) accreditation workshops.
ISI Trainers’ primary duties are to:
- Deliver ENV SP accreditation workshops that will qualify participants to take the ENV SP
examination on the ISI website.
- Make certain that workshop attendees register and pay fees to ISI for attending accreditation
workshops.
- Access and download the most current set of training materials via the ISI website prior to each
workshop delivered.
- Coordinate accreditation workshop logistics (venue, refreshments, audio/visual, etc.) with hosting
organization.
- Participate in ISI workshop evaluation and feedback process.
Minimum Qualifications to Apply
To be selected as an ISI Trainer and to participate in the ISI Train-the-Trainer Course, the applicant
must meet all of the following criteria.
- Credentialed as an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) at time of application.
- Be a part of an ISI Charter or Sustaining Member company.
- Training experience in instructional design and in facilitating or delivering workshops.
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- Have written approval from the applicant’s supervisor to become an ISI Trainer.
Applicant Selection Process
One Train-the-Trainer class will be held in Los Angeles, CA, on Nov 10-11. Another class will be held in
Tampa, FL, Jan 21-22. Please indicate clearly which class you are applying for.
- Nov 10-11 class in Los Angeles – application due Oct 8
- Jan 21-22 class in Tampa – applications due Nov 19
To be approved as an ISI Trainer, applicants must successfully complete the Train-the-Trainer course
and contract with ISI to conduct ENV SP accreditation training. Selected participants will pay ISI a
$750 Train-the-Trainer class fee and will cover their own hotel and travel costs.
Application Instructions
Fill out the ISI Trainer application form. This will give ISI an overview of your professional experience
and background, and highlight your adult education and workshop facilitation experience. You must
sign the application form for it to be complete.

ENV SP certificate
Bio (1 page or shorter)
Approval from your supervisor to apply, attend course, and contract with ISI to deliver
accreditation workshops.
All required application documents should be submitted together to ISI in one email. Incomplete, late,
or faxed/mailed applications will not be accepted.
