*SWiM UPDATE*
Single port SWiM power supplies
BE ADVISED that for a limited time, both the 29v and 21v (PS29RO-03 and
PS21RO-03) SWiM power supplies will include the “POWER TO SWiM”
port ONLY – these models DO NOT have the “SIGNAL TO IRD” port. The
diagrams below demonstrate how to install the power supply at a centralized
location or how to install the power supply using a two way SWiM splitter
behind an IRD.
Preferred Installation Methods
Install the power supply in a centralized location (i.e. an attic or cable distribution panel). If this option is not
readily available use a 2-WAY SWiM splitter directly behind one of the IRD’s. Be sure to connect the power
passing port to the Power Supply and the “out” port to the IRD (SWiM port). Usage of a two way splitter (instead
of a four or eight way) minimizes dB loss and avoids unnecessarily using a larger splitter.) In this configuration
there is typically another splitter located at the central distribution point as well (see diagram below).
