Vision :
To be the prominent Arabic TLD of choice to every Arabic Internet user, to work towards
promoting local content and services, and to ensure a healthier and more robust domain name
industry in the Arab region.
Mission :
To ensure that .‫ موقع‬is the largest Arabic IDN TLD on the Internet with hundreds of thousands
of domain name registrations. We also envision .‫ موقع‬as the Arabic TLD of choice for many key
online websites and services, and we see a healthier domain name industry in the Arab world
with many ICANN accredited registrars that support multi-lingual domain name registrations.
. ‫ ( موقع‬.mawqe in Arabic) is a proposed IDN gTLD in Arabic that translates to (site or location
with more emphases on the former). While the idea of the proposed string surfaced back in
2010, the application was submitted to ICANN in early 2012 as part of the New gTLD program.
One unique feature of the string is that it is written and read alike across all Arabic script
languages; mainly Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, and Jawi (in other words, none of the four letters are
variants). Suhub Electronic Incorporation – a firm based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – is the TLD
Registry, while the registry back-end technical services are high-tech state-of-the-art systems
provided by some of the domain name industry leaders.

2. Registrar Accreditation Process
Afilias ( The Leading DNS Services provider ) is providing the backend registry operations of
dotMawqe TLD, if a registrar is already accredited by Afilias step one and two of the
accreditation process bellow will be removed and instead we will provide the registrar with the
Registry-Registrar Agreement ( RRA ). The Registrar will then sign the RRA and return it to our
liaison officer .
Step One — Business and Legal Process
Business and legal documents can be submitted and viewed via the Afilias Online Registrar
Management System (ORMS). Documents may include:





Complete and execute the Confidentiality Agreement *
Complete the Registrar Data Form
Submit a copy of your organization's formation documents
Submit a copy of your Certificate of Insurance or insurance document *
Complete and execute the Credit Application Form *
Step Two — Technical Certification
Complete the Operational Test and Evaluation certification process. To complete this step, you
are required to develop the client application that will interface to the Afilias Shared
Registration System. The OT&E environment is available for you to test your client system.
A Registrar OT&E test is not required for Registrars that have previously passed an existing
Afilias OT&E test with modular extensions. Registrars who have not passed OT&E will not be
able to process transactions .
Step Three – Account Funding and Payment
dotMawqe Registry will provide you with the Credit and Payment arrangements. This document
contains the complete financial details and payment model for dotMawqe.
Step Four — GO LIVE!
The Registrar Liaison is available to Registrars during normal business hours and can be
