Excel & Celebrate – The Radiance of Woman Sacred Circle for Women The annual 6-day Kundalini Yoga Women's Retreat Facilitated by Japjeet Kaur Khalsa Friday 4 - Wednesday 9 July 2014 Pellenberg (Leuven), Belgium The programme Excel & Celebrate – The Radiance of Woman. A Sacred Circle of Women is intended to make women aware of their strength and potential as women. Yogi Bhajan shared with this planet the very sacred technology of Kundalini Yoga as well as the precious message that woman is the Grace of God. It is through her that the human race is embodied on Earth. She is the manifestation of the divine creativity on earth, and she forms the inspiration for the sensitivity of the human soul. This is not a small thing. However, we are not taught this in our homes, our schools or in our society. Yogi Bhajan took it on as his mission to teach respect and honour for women and to give them solid technologies so they can truly excel. When Yogi Bhajan arrived in the West in 1969 and heard that women were called 'chicks', he was appalled that the manifestation of the Shakti (primal female power) had been degraded to a chick. He said, 'These chicks must grow up to become eagles to fly to the heights of heaven.' Each summer he taught hundreds of women these sacred teachings at the 3HO Women Camp in New Mexico. For the fourth year in a row Japjeet Kaur brings these teachings to Europe, and like last year she again does so in a 6-day retreat near Leuven, Belgium. As women have been doing for centuries, we will gather in a sacred circle of sisters to nourish our souls and start relating to our essence. We will immerse ourselves in the loving community of conscious women, to find that deeper connection to our joy, our wisdom, and our radiance. Kundalini Yoga and its women teachings form the point of departure to discover our true identity as women, so that we can walk our path with confidence, trust, vitality and clarity and support the people around us in these challenging times. As an ancient spiritual saying tells us: 'When a man falls, a man falls. When a woman falls, a generation falls.' Rejoice in this experience of the nurturing support of a sacred circle of women. Together we will share and discover what it means to live in our feminine power. As women we have many unique strengths and an innate wisdom which we will discuss and explore. This is an incredible opportunity to establish a deeper connection to your soul and the joy of your spirit. Join us as we enhance our lives and create new possibilities for the future. During this week we will experience ancient wisdoms and modern truths based on the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Yogi Bhajan's women's wisdom. We will practice Kundalini Yoga, Meditation and Chanting. We will go out to Explore Nature and Our Connection to it during walks and water fun in the river. We will share Life Coaching Techniques, Health and Beauty Information and Lifestyle Tips. We will connect to our own essence and uplift our spirit. We will live together as conscious women supporting and elevating one another, sharing authentically, and we will all experience a profound personal transformation through the joyful teachings of this programme. After this week, as we go back to our daily lives, we will be clearer, stronger and more successful in every aspect of our lives. We will have started a new phase in our individual paths to awareness. As always Japjeet will carry and inspire the group by her unique combination of inner strength and gentleness, humour, presence and the way she lives according to the teachings of Sikh dharma — the path of righteous living as warrior-saint. Excel and Celebrate is for women of all ages, with or without any Kundalini Yoga and Meditation experience. Mummies and babies are welcome. Women who have previously attended this programme are welcome to join us again for this fabulous women's week - we intend to make this an annual event, as Yogi Bhajan did in New Mexico with his women's camps. Testimonials We gladly share some testimonials from women who have attended the Excel & Celebrate programme with Japjeet Kaur Khalsa, either in a 6-day retreat format in Spain or in a shortened weekend format. "Thank you Japjeet for a wonderful yoga workshop in Alhama de Granada and for giving me the opportunity to teach my first Kundalini Yoga classes... such a great feeling... so grateful right now!" (Ramroop, August 2012) "Thank you again for a truly amazing experience in Granada. The time we spent at the retreat will be cherished forever! You really are a loving and gifted individual, blessed on this earth to touch as many souls as you can. I wish you love and light in all that you do and can't wait for the Yoga lessons to start! (already doing the frogs... Ouch! The kids love the animal exercises!)" (Parvinder, September 2012) "Still dealing with the feelings of the retreat and passing on the feelings to others. We just cannot wait for the next time." (Ruji, September 2012) "I got to know Kundalini Yoga and Japjeet Kaur two years ago, during an 'Excel & Celebrate' weekend workshop. What I loved most about the workshop were the empathy within the group; the respect for each other, for oneself, and for All that Is; the power, connection and love; and the teachings behind this programme. Meanwhile I've started taking Kundalini Yoga classes twice a week and I feel the changes in my body - emotionally I'm a lot more balanced than I was two years ago. Japjeet Kaur is a patient and very stimulating teacher, who truly lives what she teaches. I can only recommend this workshop to anybody!!!" (Sabine, March 2012) "This 'Excel & Celebrate' programme has opened up a new world for me! It has given deeper meaning to my 'womanhood'. For the first time in my life I was told that a woman has eleven moon points and that the energy changes from moon point to moon point every two and a half days, in a fixed pattern that repeats itself every month. I learned that we can make our own personal graph which can help us so much, for example in planning our daily life (when to make important decisions and when not to, e.g. not when the moon energy is in a point that renders us insecure). I learned that this moon cycle is also the reason why men find us women so hard to fathom - because it makes us so complex. At least once a week I flip through the manual and every time I again feel the energy that we created as a group! I can only recommend to every woman out there to participate in this 'Excel & Celebrate' programme. Japjeet is an incredible teacher, I am grateful that she crossed my path!" (Lajpreet, April 2012) "Japjeet Kaur's women's programme 'Excel & Celebrate' brings about some deep soul-searching and makes you very fertile as well! I found that I really wanted to become a mother and just two weeks after the weekend workshop I got what I wished for: I fell pregnant and nine months later I gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy I have ever seen. For me it was and still is a blissful moment in my life, having shared this weekend workshop with a group of strong women and the best teacher ever!" (Silvia, October 2011) "Kundalini Yoga, through its versatility, has brought more structure and more depth to my life. I've been practicing Kundalini Yoga for a year now. At first I attended weekly classes, but slowly it became part of my daily life, through an intense but very harmonious process. To me Japjeet Kaur is a very inspiring woman, she has that female power, that Shakti, that our times so desperately need. Both the regular classes and Japjeet's women workshop 'Excel & Celebrate' are like an oasis where in deep honesty and vulnerability you can come closer to your essence and your womanhood, where you can share this process with other women, and where you can experience the sense of recognition and mutual support. I can only say: give yourself this gift." (Ingrid, February 2012) "I started practicing Kundalini Yoga in May 2010 and it completely changed my life. Every class is so different. I particularly love the combination of mantra's, exercises and meditation. Although the classes are not always easy for me in a physical way (because I have trouble with my joints, especially my shoulders and hips), I participate as much as I can and I feel I have changed emotionally and spiritually. I now feel comfortable with who I am and what I do in this life, I no longer have stress and I can put everything in perspective, in short: I feel like a different person, someone who has come home to herself. And Japjeet Kaur is a wonderful teacher and a true source of inspiration! I also participated in Japjeet's women workshop 'Excel & Celebrate' and that has tremendously enriched my life as well. In our group of women I experienced true friendship. So: do not hesitate, turn your life around and start practicing Kundalini Yoga, you won't be sorry!" (Sevapreet, January 2012) "After having practiced Hatha Yoga for three years, I encountered Kundalini Yoga. What an immense difference! The difference doesn't just lie in the yoga form as such - which is much more dynamic - but mostly in its effects. I can see why Kundalini Yoga is called the mother form of yoga. Yoga, for me, is a way of release, it's where I can get rid of stress, where I can accept the past and be in the here and now. Where I can take some time out for myself. And believe me, that feels so good! I also attended Japjeet Kaur's women's programme 'Excel & Celebrate.' I'm a rather introvert person, but I'm glad I decided to join that workshop. I learned so much about myself there, understood so much more about myself afterwards. I was surrounded by such kind, warm, loving people. We did some beautiful 'processes'. There were tears of sadness and support, but also of love, happiness and joy. I also discovered that sometimes there is so much pain and suffering 'hidden' where on the outside you would just see a strong, cheerful person. I'm not alone! The inspiring words from this programme 'I Am a Woman, I Am Divine' and 'Bountiful, Blissful and Beautiful', are still with me." (Prabhujeet, January 2012)
