On this guide, I will be teaching step step-by-step on how to become a mobile phone software repair engineer and use it to make money or for your own personal use. use However, there are two main mobile phone repair methods which are 1. Software Repair (use of computer to trace faults and fix it through flashing) 2. Hardware Repair (use of screws to dismantle phones and trace faults using meter). 1 But on this tutorial, we will be concentrating most on “Software Repair” which comprises of flashing, formatting and hard resetting. 1. “Flashing” can be explained as a means of reloading an operating system (OS) or firmware of any mobile phone when a phone is said to be malfunctioning (such as restarting, tripping-off, slow in processing/booting, freezing/hanging, constant displaying of error pop-up messages on the screen, etc) such phone must have contacted virus and needs to be “Flashed” for proper functioning. After successful flashing, the phone will have a new look and interface depending on the version of firmware you used to conduct the flashing. Note that every data stored on the phone will be wiped off and the original firmware will be replaced with the firmware or OS used. 2. “Formatting and Hard Resetting“ are two similar methods of mobile phone software repair but it’s not like “flashing”. This particular method is done only through some “key combinations” and “codes”. This method will only wipe off all data stored on the phone but will not wipe its original firmware. This method is said to be used if you do not know how to “flash” a mobile phone. “Flashing” is recommended because it will completely fix any hidden issues on the phone there by giving it a new appearance than “Formatting/Hard Resetting”. By the time you must have finished reading this guide, you will be able to “flash, format and hard reset“ any mobile phone and make money while doing the business. >>>HOW TO MAKE MONEY THROUGH MOBILE PHONE SOFTWARE REPAIR<<< As you all know that since the emergence of GSM/Mobile Phone, communication has been the thriving business as there are so many people using it. In the world today, there is no single person that does not have a mobile phone. As the population of people increases, so as the population of mobile phone users also increases. Mobile phone as a device tends to develop software problems 2 which will be fixed through flashing. This alone will help you understand that mobile phone software repair/flashing is a very lucrative business as you can be able to flash 10 to 15 mobile phones for other people daily depending on your location and make good money. In some areas, you can charge N1000 for flashing a single phone depending on the model and it will not take up to 5minutes and the job is done as simple as ABC. Now multiply 15 phones you flashed per day by N1000 which will be giving you a whooping N15,000 imagine that. Now multiply it by 30 days (1 month), this will give you N450,000 monthly. Highest you will spend N50,000 as your monthly expenses and save N400,000. >>>REQUIRED TOOLS FOR THIS BUSINESS<<< Laptop or Desktop Computer Flashing Software Firmware/Flash Files/OS USB Cable Nokia PC Suite Flash Box Flash Cables “Computer” is one of the compulsory tools needed for the business to prosper. You can use desktop computer as a beginner but laptop is most recommended for portability. The computer is where you will install the necessary software required for flashing mobile phones. Any computer/laptop with a configuration of at least 1GB RAM and 120GB Hard Disk can serve you for the business. But in a case where by you have enough capital, you can buy higher configuration laptop, because this will help your work to be faster and smooth during flashing. “Flashing Software” is a program designed for “FLASHING” which will be installed on the computer. There are so many “flashing Software” but we will be discussing few of them since they all execute almost the same function. Flashing Software varies from mobile phone likewise procedures of using them. The list below is used for flashing NOKIA and other phones. 3 1. Infinity Best Software 2. JAF Software 3. Cyclone Software 4. MobileEx (MX KEY) Software 5. UFX MICRO Box Software “USB Cable” is used to connect phone to laptop/computer for flashing or reading the mobile phone contents. >>>SCREEN SHOT OF USB CABLE<<< “Nokiai PC Suite” is a software used for backing up data and files on nokia phones. It consists of nokia USB drivers which are very important during flashing of any nokia phones. 4 “Firmware” is an operating system of a mobile phone phone.. It is highly required for flashing shing any mobile phone. Firmware is either in a zip file format or in an installable file format (executable file). For example, you can download all nokia original “firmware” from www.allnokia.ru/firmware and HTC firmware from www.androidruu.com while other phone model can be downloaded from various sites online through Google search. There are three (3) main nokia “flash files” which are very important for successfu successfull flashing to take place. This three (3) main flash files are manually added into “Flashing Software” after unzipping onto your hard disk but automatically added into ”Flashing Software” if the OS/Firmware is in installable format like the firmware you dow downloaded from www.allnokia.ru/firmware . YYou can also download “NaviFirm” from my website www.felicityglobal.com.ng and unzip it on n your laptop for downloading download all nokia 5 latest “firmware/flash files”. Note that “NaviFirm” is only used for downloading zip file format which you will add manually into your flashing software. The three (3) main flash files are SYMBIAN NOKIA PHONES(all nokia sv60 from 1st to 5th edition) CORE PRD UDA 1. MCU or Core JAVA NOKIA PHONES(all nokia sv40 edition) MCU PPM IMAGE/CNT 2. PPM or PRD 3. Image or UDA I vividly understand that by now, you are confused with the files name but I will elaborate more on the file according to its specific use in terms of SYMBIAN and JAVA mobile phones. The table below will help you understand more. If you are still confused on how to choose the correct file while preparing to flash nokia phones, I recommend you use installable nokia flash files and “Infinity Best” flashing software for this will automatically add those flash file (MCU, PPM, UDA and any other required flash files) without any hassles. Note that you can still identify MCU/CORE as the higher in size in terms of its MB or GB then followed by PPM/PRD and lastly IMAGE/UDA. But some new nokia phones now do have bigger size on IMAGE/UDA than MCU/CORE. “Flash Box” is like a device that has port where you can plug in your “Flash Cable” for flashing mobile phones. There are so many “Flash Boxes” such as 6 1. Infinity Box 2. JAF Box 3. Cyclone Box 4. MobileEx(MX KEY) Box. 5. UFX MICRO Box (for flashing Samsung Phones) “Flash Cable” is one of the tools that accompany “Flash Box” kit. It is used for flashing mobile phones that has no USB Port or damaged USB Port. It is shorter 7 unlike USB Cable and has a terminal ending contained in a small box with a white cable. >>>SCREEN SHOT OF FLASH CABLE<<< >>>LIST OF FLASHABLE MOBILE PHONES<<< You can flash any mobile phone ranging from Nokia Samsung (android and non-android) LG (android and non-android) BlackBerry Iphone (all i-devices) SonyEricson Sagem HTC Tecno iTel, etc But on this Guide/Tutorial, we will concentrate most on how to flash 1. Nokia 2. BlackBerry 8 3. Samsung The phones listed above are the most used mobile phones. So by now, am sure that you have seen the required tools needed for the business. We will start to explain step-by-step on how to “Flash” and “Hard Reset” any of them. >>>NOKIA PHONE CATEGORY/CLASS<<< Nokia phone has two (2) main classes of phone which are 1. BB5 2. DCT4 “BB5” are all nokia phones with camera (all sv40 and sv60). “DCT4” are all nokia phones without camera (all nokia torch light phones without camera). >>>HOW TO FLASH NOKIA PHONES<<< Nokia phones can be flashed with so many boxes and software but we are more concern on those ones that are fast and easy which are. 1. Infinity Box 2. JAF Box 3. Cyclone Box 4. MobileEx(MX KEY) Box. >>>INFINITY BEEST<<< 9 Infinity Best flashing software is the most used flashing software. It is used for both flashing and security code unlocking. It has so many advantages over other flashing software. Currently, flashing phones with “infinity” software is as easy as ABC because it has no “Box” or “Flash Cables” to be used. All you need is a USB Cable, matching firmware for the phone you want to flash and your “Infinity “software installed on your laptop, then you are good to go. You can visit my website on www.felicityglobal.com.ng to download the latest “Infinity Best Software” and other relevant software. Step 1: Identify the model of the nokia phone you want to flash by opening the back cover or by dialing *#0000#. Step 2: Check the version and the “RM” inside the phone after dialing *#0000# and download the higher version or the same version. But never flash any phone with a lower firmware version for this might brick/damage the phone beyond repair. Step 3: Now install the firmware if it is an installable firmware or extract it from the zip file on to your hard disk. Step 4: Open the Infinity Best Software you downloaded from my website www.felicityglobal.com.ng and unzip it inside your local disk, open InfinityBox folder > BEST > Infinity Best > and “right click” on “best” then send to “Desktop”. Step 5: Double click on the “best” shortcut on the desktop . When it opens, click on “select model” and select the “RM or RH or RHV or RX or RA” of the nokia phone you initially installed its firmware which you downloaded from 10 www.allnokia.ru/firmware (you can view the RM or RH or RHV or RX or RA by dialing *#0000# or by removing the back cover of the phone) It is recommended that you dial *#0000# to view internal phone version and “RM or RH or RHV or RX or RA” because atimes the sticker pasted at the back cover of the phone do contain wrong RM or RH or RHV or RX or RA number of the phone especially “Refurbished or Cloned phones” there by confusing you while trying to select the appropriate RM during flashing. But if the phone is displaying only white screen or restarting on booting, you can use “Flash Box and Flash Cable” to view the internal content of the phone (like VERSION and RM or RH or RHV or RX or RA of the phone). Once you select the appropriate “RM”, the MCU, PPM, and IMAGE/CNT/UDA column will be filed automatically whereas some phones do have more than one PPM and CNT ranging from 1 to 3 depending on the model. Note that you can add MCU, PPM, and CNT manually by clicking on the MCU, PPM, and CNT button if you don’t have the installable nokia firmware for the particular nokia phone you want to flash. Step 6: Tick “DeadMode” box. Step 7: Untick “Backup” box. Step 8: Click on “Flash Mode Settings” and select “Full Flash”. Step 9: Now remove the battery of the nokia phone and then plug with the matching USB Cable to the laptop. Step 10: Click on “FLASH” and then insert back the fully charged battery while the phone is still plugged to the laptop and press “power button” once.. 11 Step 11: Allow the “Infinity Best” flashing software to complete the flashing process until it displays a “successful message” like “Flashing done” on n the right hand side corner of the software. It will produce a sound after successfully flashing the phone and the phone will automatically turns “ON”. PLEASE NOTE THAT PHONES ARE NOT INTERUPTED DURING FLASHING PROCESS. >>>SCREEN SHOT OF INFINITY BEST FLASHING LASHING SOFTWARE <<< >>>BEFORE FLASHING<<< >>>AFTER FLASHING<<< 12 >>>JAF<<< JAF is another flashing software but it is one of the oldest flashing software. It is best used for flashing DCT4 nokia phones and security code unlocking. unlocking >>>SCREEN SCREEN SHOT OF JAF FLASHING SOFTWARE<<< 13 >>>CYCLONE CYCLONE and MobileEx (MX KEY) KEY)<<< CYCLONE and MX KEY are used for flashing and unlocking nokia phones. They possess advanced features for Security Code Unlock and Network Unlock. This two flashing software are not recommended for beginners. Any mistake made during the use of this two software for flashing can damage the Network Security of the phone there by displaying white screen with “CONTACT SERVICE” in red color. It is recommended for advanced users. 14 After flashing any nokia phone with JAF, CYCLONE, or MX KEY, it will not reboot the phone but INFINITY BEST will automatically reboot the phone. This is one of the advantages Infinity Best has over other flashing software. >>>SCREEN SHOT OF CYCLONE AND MXKEY FLASHING SOFTWARE<<< SOFTWARE >>>CYCLONE CYCLONE FLASHING SOFTWARE SOFTWARE<<< 15 >>>MX KEY FLASHING SOFTWARE<<< 16 17 >>>COMPARISON<<< INFINITY BEST Automatically removes security code Automatically reboots the nokia phone after flasshing Flash box is not needed but only USB Cable JAF, CYCLONE, AND MX KEY Manually removes security code You must remove and insert battery back after flashing Flash box is needed before flashing occur >>>HOW TO FORMAT/HARD RESET NOKIA PHONES<<< Aside flashing nokia phones, you can as well format/hard reset it. This method of software repair is used when you don’t have experience on flashing. It will only wipe off all the data stored in the phone but will not wipe its firmware/OS. If a nokia phone is hanging or slow in booting, you can simply format/hard reset it. FIRST METHOD Step 1: Press *#7370# on the phone while it is “on” Step 2: Type 12345 or any code you used to lock the nokia phone before. Step 3: Wait for the phone to restart. Step 4: You are done formatting the phone. SECOND METHOD Note that you can still “Format/Hard Reset” the nokia phone while it is turned “off”. 18 SECOND METHOD If you cannot access the phone normally or it is unable to boot-up due to certain reasons, you need to use some key combinations to get your nokia Symbian device working again.
