Beware“CollegeAdmissionsAssistance”
It has come to our a en on that some of our parents and students are receiving unsolicited emails from “College Admissions Assis‐
tance” this is a company that uses high pressure tac‐
cs to persuade parents to pay for college admissions assistance and has been the subject of many consumer complaints. It’sTimefor

field Secondary School, this is a great place for Sophomores and Juniors to start their college explora on. Infor‐

schoolcounseling/collegefair 2 SAT/ACTTesting
On the issue of tes ng, Stuart is a test center for both the SAT and the ACT tests. Our recommenda on is that all Juniors take BOTH the SAT and the ACT in the SPRING of their junior year, and if needed again in the fall of senior year. Students who receive free and reduced lunch can obtain a fee waiver for a one SAT test and one ACT test in their Junior and Senior year. Students must reg‐
ister ONLINE for the tests, by going to www.collegeboard.com for the SAT and www.actstudent.org for the ACT. Please note: the Stuart school code for both the SAT and the ACT is: 470‐797.
FreshmanTransition
The counselors will hold freshman transi on units with the Freshman class on October 9 and 10 and October 23 and 24. These units are designed to help freshman bridge the educa‐
onal and social gap between middle school and high school. Junior/SeniorParentCoffee-JoinUs!
Student Services will also host a Junior Senior Parent Coffee on Friday Octo‐
ber 17, at 8:00 am. This is a me for you to chat with the school counseling staff in a more informal se ng. DoYouFollow
