PowerWest Athletic
Skating Programs
PWA programs emphasize correct technical
skating including stride development, agility,
speed, balance, quickness and readiness through
the effectiveness of edges. Our programs are
unique in their program format, low ratio of
instructors to participants, and are known for
their professional skating instruction. Striding
for excellence for 28 years in coaching, proudly
instructed by Mena Westhaver and PowerWest
Athletics Staff.

Rentals
Skate lesson fees do not include skate
rentals. Rentals for lessons are available
for a reduced rate ($1.50). Please arrive 15
minutes early for the first class to allow time
to fit skate rentals.
Helmets
Helmets are required for all lesson
participants. Participants are encouraged
to wear gloves mittens, warm jackets and
warm flexible clothing.
Inquire
Classes end 5 min. early on the second to
last day. Take this time to touch base with
the instructor and receive feedback on your
child’s progress, then determine what level
to register them in next.
Private and semi-private instruction is available
for skating, hockey skills/shooting, and for

PowerWest Athletics Skating
Pre Season Training
These five day camps are unique. The
emphasis is on technical skating skills
adding in some hockey to create a
complete pre-season training program.
Low skater to instructor ratio. Prices include
an authentic Power Wear Athletics Hockey
Jersey and water bottle.

Summer Half Day Camp
Ice and Dryland
Join Mena and the PowerWest instructors
for a week of on ice and off ice training.
Time is spent both on the ice with Mena
and off ice with West Shore Parks and
Recreation fitness instructors.
