Wetlands Habitat
Rainforest Habitat
Grasslands Habitat
A multitude of wetland bird species can be viewed foraging
for food in waterways beneath the boardwalks. Black-necked
Storks fly freely through this habitat and during breeding season,
impressive displays can be seen.
A meandering walkway allows visitors to experience different
levels of the rainforest, from the forest floor to the canopy. Local
species such as the endangered southern cassowary, the Boyd’s
forest dragon and colourful eclectus parrots can be viewed in this
natural setting.
Here you can interact with and hand-feed kangaroos and
wallabies. A host of wild native birdlife use the billabong as a
sanctuary. Boardwalks overlook lagoons where both the estuarine
and freshwater crocodiles lurk beneath the water or bask on the
sunlit banks.
