SCHEDULE OF EVENTS March 1, 2014 Deadline for submission of camera-ready 2 page papers www.ptetis.put.poznan.pl/epnc University of West Bohemia Pilsen April 30, 2014 Final acceptance of 2 page papers July 4, 2014 Deadline for submission of the extended papers SYMPOSIUM SITE Welcome to Pilsen! Pilsen (Plzeň) is the metropolis of West Bohemia. It is located about 90 km west of Prague at the confluence of four rivers - the Radbuza, the Mže, the Úhlava, and the Úslava. Pilsen became a town in 1295 when King Wenceslaus II granted Plzeň its civic character as a special "Royal City". Nowadays, Pilsen is a significant cultural, business and industrial centre, famous mostly due to the products of Plzen's brewery and Skoda works. In September 2010, Pilsen has been awarded the title of European Capital of Culture 2015. Nowadays, population of Plzeň is almost 200.000 people. Pilsen is well connected to the road network due to its location on the D5 motorway linking the Czech capital of Prague to Germany. Bus lines and trains connect the largest European cities with Pilsen.
