IMO is more efficient and descriptive than our current search which uses SNOMED and ICD-9 codes. IMO aligns to Meaningful Use and allows an easier transition to ICD-10 ICD-9/ICD-10 and SNOMED codes are automatically selected in the background based on the selected IMO term. Problems and Diagnoses – Searching Using IMO Codes When adding a Problem or Diagnoses from the Problem and Diagnoses Band (or from PowerNote, MPages, Inpatient Summary, Ambulatory Viewpoint), Cerner will search based on your entry and display selections based on IMO Codes.
