• R&D payroll tax incentive:
• exemption of payment of 80% of the personal income withholding tax of researchers
• R&D tax credit /investment deduction:
• Investment deduction for R&D related investments: deduction of 13,5% on the investment
value (in one shot) OR 20,5% on the annual depreciation (spread deduction)
• Investment deduction in patents or licenses on patents deduction of 13,5% on the investment
value
• Notional interest deduction:
• Allows companies to reduce their taxable base by a fictious interest cost on the adjusted
equity capital (2.63% tax year 2015, SME 3.13%)
