single sign-on (SSO) access system on-premises
to address the following challenges:

and integrate with Methanex’s enterprise
authentication environment as well as
enterprise apps, with no downtime.
 Methanex’s existing Identity Management
System was integrated into Elastic SSO in a
matter of a few days. This allowed
Methanex to continue using existing
technologies and processes for provisioning
and de-provisioning user accounts.
 Elastic SSO software provides extremely
high performance and reliability without
the need for expensive hardware. It is
optimized to smoothly handle thousands of
users concurrently without any
performance degradation.
Windows Desktop Authentication.
Methanex required users within their company
network to be automatically signed in to their
cloud hosted applications once they signed into
their windows desktops. This alleviates the
need to manually re-authenticate.
Secure SSO Access to Cloud Applications.
Methanex needed to provide thousands of its
employees and staff worldwide, a secure SSO
access system to cloud apps such as Concur,
SuccessFactors, KMI, Box, and others.
Replace Existing Expensive SSO Solution.
Methanex had earlier deployed a competitive
SSO solution on-premises. The solution was
turning out to be prohibitively expensive to
maintain and use. Methanex management team
believed that the ROI provided by their existing
SSO solution was unacceptable.

Methanex has a large employee base of several
thousand all over the world. In addition, they
planned to integrate a substantial number of
SaaS apps to their SSO infrastructure. This
required an enterprise-grade, robust, reliable

Windows authentication infrastructure to
extend seamless single sign-on authorized

employees and staff.
Methanex was able to successfully switch
from its existing SSO vendor without any
downtime. Their user base (employees) did
not notice any difference with respect to
accessing their online apps and resources,
except for a noticeable increase in SSO
performance.
Methanex IT administrators are able to
provision/de-provision/manage employee
accounts using their existing identity
management system and processes. This
reduced the cost of ownership further for
Methanex.
