Over the course of the KTP Copper Industries (Ireland)
Ltd has gone from strength to strength in a highly
competitive market, expanding their product range
and entering into a new market through the creation
of a sister company in the Republic of Ireland - LB
Cylinders Ltd.
The construction of a state-of-the-art in-house research
and development facility has allowed for the rapid
development of new products as well as an increased
awareness of the technical capabilities of their existing
product range.
The technical expertise gained from the Associate and
the knowledge base has given the company confidence
in expanding into the supply of renewable technologies.
The skills imbedded within the company have enhanced
the overall technical capacity of Copper Industries
creating a sustainable platform for business growth
extending beyond the duration of KTP.

Associate
Through continuous exposure to business and
commercial research environments the Associate has
gained invaluable experience in management and the
driving factors affecting technological and business
developments within the field of thermal energy
storage.
The Associate has also gained experience in writing
various publications and has been exposed to a wide
range of leadership, management and business tools
through the KTP residental programmes and the CMI
modules.
Knowledge Base
The University of Ulster has been able to apply ‘lessons
learned’ from the KTP in the development and delivery
of teaching materials in the form of case studies and
anecdotal evidence.
Site visits have been arranged for University students
to visit Copper Industries (Ireland) Ltd for a factory
tour and introduction to the product range.
Research outputs from the KTP include performance
reports and academic publications.
