C ORNE RSTO NE C HU RC H CAMP
Order of Worship
Cornerstone Church Camp will commence tomorrow for five
days of spiritual feeding and bonding. About 80 of us will be
participating. Thank God for providing Rev John Greer as the
main speaker. We warmly welcome him. He is the current
moderator of the Free Presbyterian Church and minister of the
Ballymena congregation for the last 14 years. We shall expect
the Lord’s blessings as we meditate on topics like ‘Marriage as
a covenant’, ‘Husbands love your wives’, ‘Some things that
wives need to know’, ‘A godly husband and wife’, ‘Instructing
our children’, ‘Guidelines for friendships’, and ‘Directives for
the Christian employee’. Indeed, ‘B ehold, how go od and
how plea sant it is fo r brethr en to dwell t ogether in
unity!’ , Psalm 133:1
Why did we choose the overall theme, ‘Living the Gospel in the
Christian Home’? It’s because the Christian home is under
attack! Both parents and children have their part to play in
accordance with the Word of God. We need to understand how
to obey the Lord to have a successful Christian home. May the
Lord find us faithful. While the adults and youths are attending
the main messages, the children will be cared for by a group of
volunteers, by rotation. Let us encourage them too.
There will be ample free time. Camp is the best time to reach
out for mutual encouragement. Try to get to know someone
whom you may not usually communicate with because of the
hectic lifestyle in Singapore. Our adults may also make a
special effort to know the youths, and vice-versa. With lots of
sports/games and spa facilities, I’m sure we can find
something useful.
Pray for safety and a time of spiritual refreshment. There will
be 2 coaches departing from Singapore, one from Clementi
and the other from Choa Chu Kang. Both will collect the
campers at 9.30am. Draw close to the Lord and be a blessing
to others. Pray also for the safety of participants who are
joining us mid-week.
Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above
For your information, we have already planned next year’s
camp. In 2015, our camp venue is Holiday Inn, Melaka. Please
book your leave for Jun 15-19. It will be a time of spiritual
feasting and ample time to visit interesting places in this
historic town.

Rev Greer is the current moderator of the Free
Presbyterian Church and minister of the Ballymena
congregation for the last 14 years. He has pastored
also in the USA for more than a decade. He teaches
Systematic Theology in the Whitefield College of the
Bible. Rev Greer is 60 years of age and has 6
children and 7 grandchildren.
