Loose inserts are mechanically inserted in the issue with the closed side to the gutter. For
this reason, they must either consist of a single piece or be held together through an envelope,
stapling or gluing in such a way that they can be processed as a single piece. If loose inserts
contain a tip-on postcard, this must be affixed along the closed side of the insert in order that
it does not become separated during inserting. A specific placement cannot be guaranteed.
Letter-fold inserts cannot be processed.

For legal reasons, bound inserts whose contents do not identify them as advertising matter must be marked with the word “ANZEIGE” (advertising) in 8-point
capitals. The advertising sales department determines whether this
will be necessary after reviewing a sample.
Technical
Information
Placement of the carrier ad and position of the glued insert must be determined
with the advertisement department. The glued insert must be positioned between
10 and 35 mm from the gutter. Minimum distance from the head or foot trim 10
to 40 mm. The product must be closed parallel to the gutter. Position deviations
of +/- 3 mm must be tolerated.
Price Quotes
Rates per thousand copies started. Not eligible for discounts. Special ad formats from more than one advertiser are possible following special agreement. Weight-related
postal fees charged by the German Post for booking the subscription circulation are included in these prices. Rates for special ad formats may increase if their processing
causes problems. For technical reasons, deviations in the distribution of Nielsen areas many occur.
The booked circulations are subject to fluctuation. For this reason the quantity of special ad formats actually required must be determined when placing the order.
In the event of any processing difficulties, the completion of the circulation takes precedence over the special ad format.

Reservations are possible for up to 4 weeks. After this date or on the ad closing date, a binding order takes precedence.
The order only becomes binding on the publisher after a sample (5 copies) has been provided and approved. These samples must be provided together with the booking
order or no later than before the special ad formats are to be printed. For legal reasons, a special ad format whose design does not identify it as advertising must be
marked with the word “ANZEIGE” (Advertisement) in minimum 8-point capital letters. Prior to printing, the advertiser must therefore supply a PDF-copy of the special
ad format to the publisher for approval. With glued (tip-on) inserts, a layout pattern is also required. Acceptance of booking orders for product samples and brochures
is contingent on a successful trial printing.
