Tension Control

Because a rolling mill should wind steel strips
accurately at high speed, it is necessary to control
the tension applied to the steel strip. Mounted to
the roller, KYOWA’s load cells enable tension to be
obtained by measuring the load they receive.
Besides steel strips, KYOWA’s load cells are used
for similar purposes in the production process of
metal wires, paper, yarn, sheets, films and tapes.
