Academy?
Transport Training Academy (TTA) is a
well established training organisation
based and operating in the North West
of England, but also providing training to

TTA was formed in 2004 with the objective of delivering
driving assessment to small and medium size transport
companies. Over the last 8 years TTA has developed and
expanded to where we are today and we now offer a variety
of training to the Transport, Distribution and Logistics sector.

COURSE OVERVIEW
A comprehensive driving course which will prepare the
candidate with the knowledge and skills required for the
relevant category chosen and achieve the required standard
for the Driving Standard Agency practical driving test.
Candidates must hold the relevant provisional entitlements
for the chosen category as well successfully undertaken the
applicable theory tests.

ADR (Carriage of Dangerous
Goods by Road)
COURSE OVERVIEW
A five day classroom based course which incorporates core,
tanks and packages (excluding Classes 1&7).
To provide the candidate with sufficient knowledge to
successfully complete the course and achieve their ADR
Licence which in turn will allow them to transport hazardous
or potentially hazardous goods within the EU whilst
operating in a safe and efficient manner. On successful
completion candidates will receive their ADR Licence directly
from the DVLA.

We offer a selection of modules which are designed to
ensure that drivers obtain their Drivers Qualification
Card (DQC) which will allow them to drive professionally
within the European Union by the required dates – being
September 2013 for PCV drivers and September 2014 for
LGV drivers.

This two day course provides instruction on Lorry Mounted
Equipment enabling you to meet the required governing
body standard in a safe and efficient manner.

as a Transport Manager and who wish to develop their

Certificate of Professional
Competence in Road
Haulage
COURSE OVERVIEW
CPC Operators licence (Operator licence) legislation
requires all Operators to either hold a Certificate of
Professional Competence (CPC) or have in their employ a
similarly qualified Certificate of Professional Competence
(CPC) holder.
The Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is
recognised throughout Europe because it is an official
European Operators Licence in CPC transport management
qualification and it is the standard recognised by each
country’s Operators Licence department.
DSA Voluntary Register
COURSE OVERVIEW
For the experienced driver a ten day intensive course which
on successful completion allows the candidate to be listed
on the DSA voluntary register and instruct others in LGV
licence acquisition.
Our course is designed to prepare the candidate for the
two DSA practical examinations of driving ability and
instructional ability.
Candidates must have already successfully passed the
theory aspect of the course prior to commencement of the
practical aspect of the course.

COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is an essential for any individual aspiring to
work as an ‘in house’ driver trainer. Our course has been
specifically designed to motivate, educate and develop
experienced drivers as driver trainers to offer expert advice
in the skills and principles of safe and fuel efficient driving –
with the outcomes being:

All the courses that we offer are residential. We want to
provide you with the home comforts that you deserve so
we have handpicked your accommodation and we are
delighted to offer you:

Terms and Conditions of Training
• Location near to Transport Training Academy.
• Once you have decided on your learning pathway a
non-refundable deposit of £300 is required to secure
your booking and must be paid within 10 days to
confirm your course.
• Single bedroom with private en-suite facilities.
• TV and WIFI (subject to availability).
• Secure Parking.
• Discounted Gym Membership located nearby for the
duration of your course.
Although lunch isn’t provided we are situated in close
proximity to a vast array of sandwich shops and cafes to
suit all tastes. We also provide vending machines in our
breakout room which offer a range of snacks and drinks.
• The balance of the course must be paid either in
advance or at the very latest by the commencement
of the course.
• Transport Training Academy has the right to terminate
a course should the candidate not reach the required
standard. Under such circumstances no refund will
be issued.
• Transport Training Academy exercises the right
to terminate the training of any individual who
conducts themselves in an inappropriate manner
and contravenes our Learner Agreement.
• Transport Training Academy reserves the right to alter or
cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances which
are beyond our control and cannot accept responsibility
of tests cancelled due to weather or strike action by the
applicable Governing Bodies.
• Cancellation is in line with our cancellation and refund
policy and must be made at least 14 days in advance of
commencement of training.
• It is the candidates’ responsibility to ensure that
he or she has the relevant provisional entitlement
and has passed the relevant theory test – prior to
commencement of the course.
• Candidates must ensure that they provide Transport
Training Academy and carry at all times for the duration
of the training their original UK Driving Licence both
Counterpart and Photo Card, Driver Qualification Card
and all theory pass certificates – if applicable to the
course being undertaken.

By Train:
Atherton railway station is closest and a short walk from
TTA. Bolton railway station is approx 4-5 miles away.

From M6 – Junction 23:
Exit at junction 23 and get onto the A580 (East
Lancashire Road) heading towards Manchester. At the
roundabout continue forward second exit. At the fourth
set of traffic lights (approx 3 miles) turn left onto the
A579, sign posted Bolton. Proceed through all the traffic
lights and round abouts until you come to the final
roundabout at the end of the A579. Take the 3rd exit
off the roundabout (signposted Atherton A577/Bolton
A579) onto the A577 (Wigan Road). Proceed along
this road until you arrive at a mini roundabout, take the
2nd exit off the mini roundabout onto Gloucester Street.
Follow this for about half a mile through the first set of
traffic lights then second exit at the mini roundabout,
TTA is on your right after 100 metres.
