Large Scale Mining Licence Issued for
Mpande Limestone Project
Zambezi Resources Limited (“Zambezi” or “the Company”) (ASX: ZRL), is pleased to announce that
the application by its subsidiary Mpande Limestone Limited for a Large Scale Mining Licence, Number
18703-HQ-LML with respect to its limestone project in Kafue District of Lusaka Province, has been
approved by the Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development for a period of twenty five (25)
years.
The grant to Mpande Limestone Limited of the Large Scale Mining Licence follows approval of its
Environmental Impact Study approval by the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (“ZEMA”) as
announced on 20 June 2014.
Zambezi Chairman David Vilensky said “With all permits in place following a lengthy process the Joint
Venture now has the green light from the Zambian Government to pursue the process of extracting
value from the project for the benefit of all stakeholders.”

Mpande Limestone Project Background
The Mpande Limestone Project is the subject of a 50/50 Joint Venture between Mpande Limestone
Limited (“MLL”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mwembeshi Resources Limited, (which is wholly owned
by ZRL), and Limestone Ventures Pty Ltd.
The aim of the Joint Venture is to develop and facilitate a cement and quick/hydrated lime facility within
its 106.4 km2 mining licence area 18703-HQ-LML, in Kafue District, Lusaka Province of Zambia.
Drilling results from the Mpande Limestone Project confirm a large limestone deposit of high quality
material and suitable for lime/cement production.
On 15 February 2013, MLL applied for a Large Scale Mining Licence which has now been granted
following the approval of its Environmental Impact Study by ZEMA on 20 June 2014.
