Learning is only when it is outside the books only then the text becomes clear
and dwells longer in child's life. Taking care of small things makes these children
great students. Their own presentation will always matter most to them and in
today's world smartness lies when children more independent and able to carry
themselves in meritorious manner. Little activities like table manners

July 18, 2013: Trip to Traffic Park - Nursery:
On July 18 children of Nursery class had a
memorable experience when they visited
Chandigarh traffic park. Objective of the trip was to
make the children aware of the traffic rules and
regulations and also give them hands on experience
of the different modes of transport. The entire visit
was in synchronization with the theme being taught
in the class. They saw the lights turning into different
colours and the teachers taught them the meanings
as well. The rain added to their joy and they
thoroughly enjoyed. Much to everyone's surprise
the entire journey back many were guiding the school bus driver the moment
they saw the lights.

Every child is good at doing things all alone but taking some else along and then
doing it together has different learning outcome. They become buddies, the

August 2, 2013: Table Manners Competition - LKG:
Different movements can be easily taught at
very young age as the children are flexible
and they enjoy picking up everything related
to fun and frolick. They do such activities
with more ease and also build up the spirit of
participation. Children clapped and cheered
for each other as they had to be divided into
groups and enthusiasm reverberated in the auditorium in their applauses. The

Developing motor skills and
improving concentration can be easily
achieved through funfilled games.
However good one is balancing is
really self control and accurate focus.
Though lot of practice sessions
children had but winners were very
unbelievable surprises.
July 26, 2013: Self Introduction Competition - Nursery:
Knowing yourself and to be able to introduce yourself can be very challenging
even for grown-ups but if such things are taught at a young age they will
definitely be more confident and steel nerved when facing new people. Our
Nursery class had such a challenging moment but to our surprise every child
strode confidently on the stage and were able to do justice to the learning. The

August 13, 2013: Dress Up & Speak Competition - LKG:
To be able to get into the role of some other personality is not at all easy for such
young children. To enact they have to have knowledge about the character that
they portray and then emote. It was really uphill task judging the best entries.

Children want to grow up fast when they are young and want to eat on their own
whereas the elders keep pampering them by trying to feed morsels but when
they are in school they need to manage on their own hence what the mother has
been doing at home to teach them, is brought out in such competitions. The

It is very important to stress on physical well being of the children in school. As

August 24, 2013: Visit to Flour Mill - LKG & UKG:
Our LKG and UKG children had a great
learning experience when they visited the
Flour Mill in Industrial Area. They were
awestruck by the structure, size of hoppers,
and processes that were involved to get the
final product. It is was blending their
theoretical knowledge of Food theme with
hands on learning.

July 12, 2013: Vegetable Jewellery Making Competition - Grade II & III:
Good language is essential to be comfortable in expression and
communication, so spellings become the integral part of this constructivism.
The spell bee competitions help the students to be alert about their spellings at

Awareness in all spheres is very important for intellectual development and it is

for his daily needs but using them creatively other than

July 8, 2013: Tree Plantation:
VAN MAHOTSAV was celebrated in school with great
frevour and enthusiasm. Children were given saplings to be
planted and they had open air talk session with their
teachers under the shades. They were infused with
importance of protecting nature as we all depend on nature
everything hence we cannot plunder it suit our needs.

Recitation is an art of voice modulation, putting life into words and thoughts
written by some one is not easy. Grade I children did manage to do quite well.

July 19, 2013: Story Telling Competition - Grade II & III:
Story telling is quite a vintage activity and it holds the mast among all other
Man's journey to Moon will always remain the
most formidable feat for times to come. On
July 20, 1969 When Neil Armstrong set his
foot on the surface of the Moon he left his
footprints on the pages of history. This
moment is commemorated year after year by
educating children about the mission, about
the planets, satellites, rockets, launch pads,
launch vehicles. We at Mind Tree also celebrated Moon Day by organising a
slide show and Quiz for the same.

August 27, 2013: Janamashtami:
67th
Independence Day Celebration
Shri Krishan Ashtami was celebrated with great gaiety in school, where every
girl was dressed as Radhaji and boys came in the attire of little Kanhiyas.
Children put up a dazzling performance and sang bhajans and other religious
renditions which created a true environment of gokul in school.
August 30, 2013: Splash Pool:
Our school added another feather in the cap by inaugurating the splash pool on

August 30 . Entire Kindergarten had a rendezvous and the children's joyous
shrieks rented the air. Splashing about, jumping about and lazing around they
never wanted to go back to the classes.
EDUCATOR'S CORNER
We have to constantly strive for personal updation as every day is a new challenge and
there can be many unforeseen situations in the classrooms therefore children must be
taught by well equipped teachers. In this regard we keep having talks and workshops by
different resource people who have made their mark in the industry.
July 27, 2013: Teacher's Workshop - Mr Atul Gopal B.E. Pune, MBA IIM-C
English Resource:
It was the first Independence day celebrations for Mind Tree Kharar, Kindergarten to Grade III every
student was present and it was really heartening to see them cheering and clapping when our Tricolour went
up. Most of Kindergarten children experienced it for the first time. After the unfurling of the flag every class
had put up a cultural show and it was really commendable to see the children perform so confidently.
Mr. Atul Gopal B.E. Pune, MBA IIM-C conducted an exhaustive workshop with
our teachers, motivating them, inspiring them, making them understand their
own potential and also encouraging them to realize the strengths of every child
in the class so that very dynamic and action packed atmosphere could be
created in the class rooms and children are able to come up with desired results.
August 20, 2013: Rakshabandhan:
A special assembly was organized a day before children were told about the
origin of the festival. It is the festival which is celebrated only in our country and
every sister and brother has a unique bond of love and understanding with each
other whatever their age is.
August 03, 2013: Teacher's Workshop - Ms Pooja Sehgal:
Ms. Pooja Sehgal had a very extensive interactive session with our teachers
whereby she discussed many new areas of improvement, tackling adaptability
issues, gauging child's inner abilities and harnessing them.
