Installer le kit communication sur Sepam 2000
nécessite de vérifier la compatibilité
avec la version logicielle de la cartouche.
Up grading a Sepam 2000 with a communication kit
requires to check the compatibility with the
cartridge software version.
Si la version logicielle est inférieure à 9609
(la version logicielle de configuration peut être lue
à l’aide de la console TSM 2001, menu “à propos
de Sepam”), vous devez d'abord remplacer
la cartouche par une version à jour :
If the software version is lower than 9609
(configuration software version SFT2800 can be read
using the TSM 2001 pocket terminal, menu “About
Sepam”), you have to replace the cartridge first
by an updated one.
Retourner le fax. de demande d'échange situé en
annexe à votre correspondant “protection et contrôle
commande” habituel.
Return the Fax. “request for cartridge exchange”
(see in appendix) to your “protection and control”
contact.

Ce document décrit les opérations à réaliser pour installer le kit de communication
Jbus ou FIP dans un Sepam 2000.
Matériel nécessaire
c KIT communication Jbus :
v 1 carte coupleur de communication Jbus n° 03 143 270 FA.
v 1 carte d’interface de communication Jbus n° 03 143 256 FA
avec sa limande pré-pliée.
v 4 vis torx 3 x 8 et 4 rondelles contact 3 x 8,3 pour la fixation de la carte interface.
v 2 vis torx 3 x 8 et 2 vis M 2,5 pour la fixation du coupleur Jbus.
c KIT communication FIP :
v 1 carte coupleur de communication FIP n° 3 03 143 735 FA.
v 1 carte d’interface de communication FIP n° 3 03 143 739 FA
avec sa limande pré-pliée.
v 4 vis torx 3 x 8 et 4 rondelles contact 3 x 8,3 pour la fixation de la carte interface.

This document describes the operations to be carried out to install the Jbus or FIP
communication kit in a Sepam 2000.
Equipment required
c Jbus communication kit:
v Jbus communication coupler board n° 03 143 270 FA.
v 1 Jbus communication interface board n° 03 143 256 FA with prefolded flat cable.
v Four 3 x 8 torx screws and four 3 x 8.3 contact washers to mount
the interface board.
v Two 3 x 8 torx screws and two M 2.5 screws to mount the Jbus coupler.
c FIP communication kit:
v 1 FIP communication coupler board n° 03 143 735 FA.
v 1 FIP communication interface board n° 03 143 739 FA with prefolded flat cable.
v Four 3 x 8 torx screws and four 3 x 8.3 contact washers to mount
the interface board.
v Two 3 x 8 torx screws and two M 2.5 screws to mount the coupler.
c Tooling and documentation:
v 1 screwdriver for torx recess n° 10 (ref.: Facom ACX 10 ).
v 1 4mm flat screwdriver.

Principale phases de la procédure
c Démonter le Sepam de la cellule HTA
(opération obligatoire).
c Enlever la cartouche.
c Faire apparaître l’électronique en enlevant la face
avant du bloc Sepam (afficheur).
c Déconnecter la face avant du bloc Sepam.
c Retirer la carte alimentation CE 40 à l’arrière
du Sepam.
c Déconnecter la limande de bus interne.
c Installer la carte interface de communication Jbus
ou FIP avec sa limande de connexion inter carte.

Main phases in the procedure
c Remove Sepam from the MV cubicle (compulsory).
c Remove the cartridge.
c Reveal the electronics by removing the front panel
of the Sepam unit (display unit).
c Disconnect the front panel of the Sepam unit.
c Remove the CE 40 power supply board from the
back of Sepam.
c Disconnect the ribbon cable from the internal bus.
c Install the JBUS or FIP communication interface
board with its inter-board connection flat cable.
c Mount the JBUS or FIP communication interface
board.
c Connect the JBUS or FIP communication coupler
board.
c Install the Jbus or FIP communication coupler board.
c Connect the internal bus flat cable.
c Connect the front panel of the Sepam
to the electronic mother board.
c Reassemble the Sepam and close the front planet
of the Sepam unit.
c Put the cartridge back.
c Put the CE 40 power supply board back into the rear
of Sepam.
c Test the Sepam with its cartridge.
c Insert the Sepam back into the LV compartment
and reconnect the Sepam.

c Dévisser les 2 vis de fixation de la cartouche et l’enlever.
c Loosen the 2 cartridge mounting screws and remove it.
Démontage de la face avant du Sepam /
Removal of the front panel of Sepam
c Dévisser les 4 vis torx pour le S25 ou les 6 pour le S35 qui fixent la face avant
du Sepam.
c Loosen the 4 torx screws for the S25 or the 6 torx screws for the S35 which hold
the front panel of Sepam.
Attention
Cette opération est délicate : pour ne pas déteriorer
les nappes de liaisons des cartes électroniques rabattre la face avant en tirant
doucement par le haut de celle-ci, s’aider du tournevis plat pour dégager
la face avant du bloc Sepam.
Caution
This operation is a delicate one: so as not to damage the electronic board
connection cords, turn down the front panel by pulling slightly on the top of it.
Use the flat screwdriver to remove the front panel from the Sepam unit.

Démontage des liaisons pour liberer le passage de la liaison de communication.
c Déconnecter, avec soin, le grand connecteur de la nappe de liaison du bus
interne qui relie la carte mère à l’arrière du Sepam; ceci permet de libérer
de la place au niveau de la fenêtre d’accès entre la partie avant et la partie arrière
du Sepam et ainsi permettre le passage du connecteur de la nappe de liaison
du coupleur de communication.
Removal of the links to clear a passage for the communication link.
c Carefully disconnect the large connector of the internal bus connection cord
linking the mother board to the back of Sepam. This makes space in the access
window between the front and back parts of Sepam, providing a passageway
for the communication coupler connection cord connector.

Removal of the CE 40 board
c Dévisser les deux vis torx qui tiennent la carte d’alimentation CE 40,
une sur le dessus et une sur le dessous du bloc Sepam.
c Retirer la carte d’alimentation CE 40, insérer un tournevis plat dans l’encoche
du haut de la carte et faire levier pour déconnecter la carte.
c Loosen the two torx screws that hold the CE 40 power supply board,
one on the top and the other on the bottom of the Sepam unit.
c Remove the CE 40 power supply board, insert a flat screwdriver in the slot
on the top of the board and use it as a lever to disconnect the board.
Introduction de la carte interface Jbus ou FIP /
Insertion of the Jbus or FIP interface board
c Introduire la carte interface de communication Jbus ou FIP munie de sa nappe
de liaisons a l’intérieur du Sepam dans l’emplacement libéré par la carte CE 40.
c Tenir la carte interface de communication Jbus ou FIP verticale, connecteur
et nappe en avant, le coté soudure de la carte du coté du flasque extérieur
du Sepam.
Glisser cette carte dans l’emplacement en faisant passer le connecteur
de la nappe dans la fenêtre d’accès entre l’avant et arrière du Sepam.
La nappe doit rester bien a plat du coté du flasque. Il faut garder le pré-pliage
effectué sur la nappe de liaisons.
c Insert the Jbus or FIP communication interface board, fitted with its connection
coard, into Sepam, in the slot made available by removing the CE 40 board.
c Hold the Jbus or FIP communication interface board in the vertical position,
with connector and cord in the front, and the welded side of the baord on the side
of the Sepam end plate.
The cord should remain flattened on the end-plate side. It is necessary to keep
the prefolding of the connection cable intact.

Lorsque la nappe est passée entre la partie arriere et la partie avant,
mettre la carte interface de communication Jbus ou FIP en vis à vis des trous
de fixation prévus dans le flasque et la visser à l’aide des 4 vis et rondelles
fournies dans le kit.
After the cord has been inserted between the back and front parts, place
the Jbus or FIP communication interface board opposite the mounting holes
in the end-plate and screw it on using the 4 screws and washers supplied in the kit.

Sur la partie avant raccorder le connecteur de la nappe de liaisons provenant
de la carte interface de communication Jbus ou FIP sur la carte coupleur
de communication Jbus ou FIP fournie dans le kit.
On the front part, connect the connector of the connection cord coming from
the Jbus or FIP communication interface board to the Jbus or FIP communication
coupler board supplied in the kit.

Connecter la carte coupleur de communication Jbus ou FIP sur le connecteur
XM 4 situé sur la carte mère en veillant à l’insérer avec délicatesse.
Il ne faut pas forcer car la flexion de la carte réceptrice peut générer une cassure.
Fixer la carte coupleur à l’aide des deux vis Torx coté nappe de liaison et des deux
vis M 2,5 sur le connecteur XM 4 (version précédente : connecteur XM 252 ).
Connect the Jbus or FIP communication coupler board to the XM 4 inlet
on the mother board, inserting it carefully.
Force must not be used since bending of the receiving board can cause breakage.
Mount the coupler board using the two Torx screws on the connection cord side
and the two M 2.5 screews on the XM 4 inlet side (before version : connector
XM 252 ).

connected connection cord, and without squeezing the cord on the lefthand side.
c Close the front panel and fasten it with the torx screws.

c Put the cartridge back into its slot and screw it in.

Reassembly of the power supply board
c Retourner le Sepam et remettre en place la carte d’alimentation CE 40. il faut
bien s’assurer que la carte entre dans les deux guides, qui servent de glissière,
du bloc support du Sepam.
c Turn the Sepam over and put the CE 40 power supply board back into position,
making sure that the board is in the two guide rails of the Sepam support block.
c Embrocher délicatement la carte en fond de panier et la fixer à l’aide des deux
vis torx ; une sur le dessus et une sur le dessous du bloc Sepam.
c Carefully insert the board in the bottom of the rack and fasten it using the two
torx screws, one on the top and one on the bottom of the Sepam unit.

c Avant de remonter le Sepam dans le caisson BT
tester son bon fonctionnement et vérifier que l’option
communication est bien reconnue par le Sepam.
c Alimenter le Sepam à l’aide de la TSM 2005
ou d’une alimentation extérieure en veillant bien
à la tension d’alimentation du Sepam.
c A la mise sous tension le Sepam 2000 réalise
la séquence suivante d’une durée d’environ 5 s :
(voir notice Sepam 2000 utilisation / mise en service
chapitre mise en service.) :
v Voyants vert et rouge allumés.
v Bip sonore (si la console est connectée).
v Extinction du voyant rouge.
v Armement du chien de garde.
v Test des afficheurs 00000000000
puis *********** puis I1 = 00A
(cas des logiques de commandes standards).
v Allumage du voyant de position du disjoncteur.
v Apparition du premier message.
c Sur l’interface de communication il y a deux voyants
un vert et un rouge :
v A la mise sous tension le voyant rouge reste allumé
pendant 5 à 6 secondes correspondant à la phase
d’initialisation.
v En fonctionnement normal le voyant rouge est éteint
et le voyant vert clignote pour indiquer le passages
des messages sur le réseau.
c Sepam est alors en service
c Before putting Sepam back into the LV compartment,
test operation and check that the communication
option has been recognized by Sepam.
c Supply power to the Sepam by means of the
TSM 2005 or an external power supply, being careful
of the Sepam supply voltage.
c When Sepam 2000 is energized, it performs
the following sequence which lasts for about 5 s:
(refer to Sepam 2000 use/commissioning manual,
commissioning chapter.).
v Green and red lights on.
v Sound signal (if the pocket terminal is connected).
v Red light switches off.
v Watchdog picks up.
v Testing of display 00000000000
then *********** then I1 = 00A
(for standard control logic).
v Circuit breaker position indicator lights up.
v Appearance of first message.
c There are two indicators on the communication
interface, a green one and a red one.
v When the power is switched on, the red light stays
lit for 5 to 6 seconds, corresponding to the initialization
phase.
v During normal operation, the red light is off and
the green light is blinking to indicate that messages
are being transmitted in the network.
c Sepam is then in operation.
A l’aide de la TSM 2001 :
c Dans le menu “status”, rubrique communication
aller voir si les paramètres de communication existent ;
(s’ils sont disponibles c’est que la carte coupleur de
communication est reconnue).
c Dans le menu “à propos de Sepam”, rubrique
“communication” lire la version du coupleur de
communication (s’il est disponible c’est que la carte
coupleur de communication est reconnue).
Cette option est disponible sur les Sepam fabriqués
à partir de 95.
Using the TSM 2001:
c In the “status” menu, communication heading, go to
see whether the communication parameters exist
(if they are available, it means that the communication
coupler board has been acknowledged).
c In the “About Sepam” menu, “communication”
heading, read the communication coupler version
(if it is available, it means that the communication
coupler board has been acknowledged). This option
is available on Sepams manufactured as of 1995.
Pour tester complétement la communication
(carte interface de communication) il faut à l’aide
de la TSM 2005, d’un PC et du programme TESTJbus
faire le test réel de communication.
