TECH EVENTS (/CATEGORY/TECH-EVENTS/) Meet Gordon Mah Ung, PCWorld's new hardware guru Jon Phillips @jonphillipssf Nov 13, 2014 1:38 PM PCWorld has a new executive editor in charge of hardware coverage. We love him and his work, and we think you will too. Meet Gordon Mah Ung, one of the founding fathers of hardcore tech journalism. For some 15 years, Gordon and I worked together at Maximum PC, a magazine and website I launched in the late 90s to serve PC upgrading fanatics, and anyone else interested in cutting-edge consumer tech. Gordon quickly carved out a loyal fan base, and emerged as the heart and soul of Maximum PC, delivering reviews and explainer articles that put readers first, and captured the essence of what makes technology so fun and fascinating. Gordon eventually took my job as editor-in-chief of Maximum PC, but now he joins me once again at PCWorld for bigger, better things. If you’re already a fan of Gordon’s work, you can follow him here for his trademark coverage of PCs, components, accessories and all the other hardware categories that appeal to today’s tech enthusiasts. He’s already covered a juicy Intel leak (http://www.pcworld.com/article/2843961/intels-broadwell-unlimited-enthusiast-chipmight-face-heavy-competition-from-intel.html), and on Thursday we posted his review (http://www.pcworld.com/article/2846219/lenovo-yoga-3-pro-review-a-potentialsurface-pro-3-killer-with-a-fancy-new-hinge.html) of the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro. Moving forward, we may even see a flashlight review every now and then. We still haven’t given Gordon clearance to cuss on podcasts and videos, but there’s always this awesome (and NSFW) fan-created soundboard (http://www.leedash.com/rantsoundboard/) if you ever need to hear Gordon in his finest ranting form. He’s also the moderator of his own fake Twitter account (https://twitter.com/gordonung)—so follow him (the fake Gordon Mah Ung, that is) for frequent surprises. I'm really gonna miss your Rant Of The Week though. Like Reply Share 1 reply Gordon Ung 2 3 days ago It's possible we could do it here. You know, like why do fanboys only say a feature matters when it's something on their platform?
