PHOTOLUMINESCENT EVACUATION PLANS
Photoluminescent Evacuation Plans can play a vital role alongside photoluminescent
safety signs. They display the plan of a facility on which are illustrated the necessary
elements for evacuation and which feature information required for fire & rescue and
other emergency services.
Photoluminescent Evacuation Plans should be located at all strategic points of the
escape routes as well as primary entry points such as: halls and foyers; corridors;
intersecting walkways; escalator lobbies and stairwells at all levels.

Photoluminescent anti-slip ceramic tiles (220 mcd/m ) are used to mark and highlight high
transit danger areas and evacuation routes.
This product complies with Class 1 slip resistance and also features high mechanical resistance
to abrasion. It has UV protection so does not turn black when exposed to sunlight and is resistant
to chemical cleaning agents and abrasion.
ADHESIVE FLOOR MARKERS
This signage is specially designed to mark escape routes both indoors and
outdoors. They are resistant to chemical agents and weathering.
Thanks to the tape's anti-slip characteristics, its use is recommended for floor
signalling such as in corridors, stairways, slopes and other areas that should
for safety purposes be illuminated in darkness. The floor marker is available in

two different luminescence levels: 150 or 300 mcd/M .

SOLAS Convention, IMO Resolution and ISO
17631 standards.
According to the SOLAS Convention, signs to
identify the location of life saving equipment
must be manufactured in accordance with
International Maritime Organisation (IMO)
regulations. Signs should make reference to
symbols relating to life safety equipment in an
arrangement recommended by IMO.

Under IMO regulations, Low Level Lighting systems (LLL) are compulsory and also are recommended by ISO.
As identiﬁed in SOLAS, ships carrying passengers shall be ﬁtted with electric or photoluminescent Low Location Lighting and if
carrying more than 36 passengers these regulations also apply to the crew accommodation.
