Filmback MLP

Filmback MLP
Filmback MLP is the most innovative and performing PET based backsheet
available on the market; a monolayer high grade PET film ensures optimal
protection, insulation and robustness of the modules.
Characteristics
Filmcutter Filmback MLP backsheet was specially designed to combine the best properties
and features expected for a backsheet: the superior protection, safety and performance over
the module’s service life, even under challenging conditions. Filmback MLP represents a new
generation of backsheets with an innovative and performing PET monolayer high grade,
UV stable and hydrolysis resistant that is the ultimate solution in terms of durability, performance
and cost reduction.
PET has transformed itself to match the performance requirement of PV Backsheet.
Significant advances in Polyester Chemistry and Polyester Film Production Engineering have
allowed the development of a monolayer 185 micron highly UV and High Resistance durable
polyester film, combining both inner and outer layer properties in a backsheet, used in Filmcutter
Filmback MLP.
At Filmcutter we identified the most important characteristics of the backsheet and also the
weaknesses in order to develop a monolayer high-grade pet backsheet. We retain and improve
the performance, functionality, long-term resistance, but also eliminated the weak link in the current
backsheet configurations, which is the adhesive layer between two films.
Features:
– Monolayer high grade PET film, highly resistant to hydrolysis and UV; avoiding the ahesive
between the two layers of PET film of the classical configuration, Filmback MLP is the most
performant PET based backsheet on the market.
– Cell-side with a special primer for a perfect bonding with the encapsulant and highly reflectant
to increase the cell efficiency.
– Exceeds 3000 hours of DHT and the most severe endurance tests.
– High values of PDT 1100 VDC – certificato TUV - extra insulation and safety for the PV module.
– Filmback PVS is conforming with the standard IEC 61215/61730, TUV, UL e JET.
Filmback MLP is available also in a version with black primer.
