The Colgate Club of Boston
September 2014
Dear Colgate Parent:
The Colgate Alumni Club of Boston is the sponsor of a direct bus service (the Silver Fox Lines of Northboro, MA) for
New England based Colgate students. Buses are scheduled for the Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring vacations.
Round-trip tickets are $105 and one-way tickets are $65.
Buses leave from the Student Union in Hamilton and arrive at Riverside MBTA (Grove Street – off Route 128, south
of Commonwealth Avenue in Newton) approximately five hours after campus departure. Buses from Boston to
campus also board at Riverside MBTA. The trip includes drop off/pick up on the Mass Pike at the Ludlow Rest Stop
and Lee Rest Stop if requested. No food stops will be made, so it is recommended that students bring snacks for the
trip.
The bus service offers safe and reliable transportation for your student. The Alumni Club of Boston is happy to
sponsor this service, and we appreciate your continued commitment and support.
Additional information can be found on the reverse side. To ensure your student’s seat, reservations will only be
accepted online at colgate.edu/BostonBus14, via phone at 315-228-7439, or in person at the Colgate Alumni
Relations Office at 10 Utica Street (downtown Hamilton). Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis,

When payment is received, confirmation will be made to both the student and to the parent(s) via the e-mail
addresses provided upon completing your reservation.
The student must save this confirmation and bring it with them to board the bus. Please note that the
confirmation will be sent at the time of the transaction.
General Information:
We are mailing notices to parents of undergraduates in the Greater Boston area, but anyone may buy a ticket and
ride the bus, including your student's visiting roommate, out of town friends, etc. You may request a dropoff/pick-up on the Mass Pike at the Ludlow Rest Area or Lee Rest Area. Please be sure that your student lets
the driver know if the drop-off/pick-up is other than Riverside.
Please note: We schedule the bus departures from campus after most academic commitments are completed.
If you do have a conflict with the time the bus is leaving, academic obligations take priority.
