Frequently Asked Questions for the High School Bus Service
1. Why is the two-way bus fare for high school children lower than the normal rates for two-way
bus fare?
This is because the High School after SMART Period bus service does not provide doorstep service for
the trip back home and the children are dropped off at pre-designated drop-off points.
2. How do I select the High School bus service for my child?
You can make the selection based on the bus routes offered by the various buses. Please indicate clearly
which drop-off point your child will be alighting from. Please refer to Annex B.
3. Can my child choose to alight from a different drop-off point as there are days when he wants to
join his friends?
No, your child can only alight at the drop-off point selected. Other than safety considerations, we need to
be fair to all parents as the High School bus service’s fare is computed based on distance.
