November6 , 2014 Dear Devotees, This temple complex is the ardent desire of a few Lord Ayyappa devotees in Ahmedabad who took initiative to register this unit of Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa SevaSangham , with their prime ideas of assisting pilgrims to Sabarimala creating a serene place for the devotees in and around Ahmedabad, feeding the poor and helping the poor and needy to get education to the extent possible and also medical care. A temporary structure, the cost of which was borne entirely by a single devotee and the foundation of which was laid by the holy hands of HH Kanchi Kamakoti Jagadguru Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati on 24th day of September 1980, where daily poojas to Lord Ayyappa started on 17th January 1983. Taken shape under the guidance of the famous temple architect of Kerala, the late Shri Kanippayoor Parameshwaran (Unni) Namboodiripad , the existing temple complex was dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, the presiding deity of Sabarimala on 23rd January 1985 by performing the Pranapratishta by Tantri Shri Kunnathu Padinjardathu Manakal Brahmashri Vishnu Bhattatiripad from Kerala. By grace of God and constant efforts and with the whole hearted support and cooperation of the devotees and well-wishers, this temple complex has today become a holy place for prayers at Ahmedabd for people from all walks of life, without barrier of caste, creed, region or religion. Day to day affairs of this temple complex is being done by the income generated from Daily Pooja Deposit Account (DPDA). Contributors of RS.501 to DPDA enjoy a lifelong benefit of an ordinary Pooja on the day chosen by them . Besides DPDA, the other Funds areAnnandanam Funa and Education Fund and with the interest income from these Funds, we provide annadanam and educational assistance to the poor and the needy to the extent possible. As we mentioned earlier also, with an aim to render an affordable education to the poorest of the poor and the needy to the extent possible, TATWAMASI VIDYALAYA was established in the year 2006 . It is located nearMahakali Temple, Sola-Ognaj, Road, Ognaj, Ahmedabad - 380060 . The school is managed by Akila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sang ham, Ahmedabad Unit Charitable Trust. The school is spread over about 3.5 acre land in AUDA limit. In the first academic year the school had classes upto 2nd Standard in Gujarati medium and 15t Standard in English medium with about 16 students enrolled . In the current academic year (2014-2015) the school has classes upto 8th standard in Gujarati medium and 6th Standard in English medium with 558 students. We have also introduced E-sense learning system from the academic year 201 0-2011 . Considering the present infrastructure and possible future expansion by increase in class strength and enrolment of students , we will have to undertake the construction of additional class rooms. The locality in which the school exists falls under economically weaker sections, thus fees have been kept at very nominal rate . Hence, the fund for expansion needs to be raised from other sources. The School plans to have 3 buildings out of which one building is already constructed with 16 Class Rooms, 2 Office and staff rooms and 2 Lab rooms where the present school functions. The existing building has a provision to add 4 more class rooms. The construction cost of the same will be approximately Rs. 30 lacs. We need to start the construction at an early date for catering the needs for the next academic year. We also have plans to have two more buildings at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 crores and it has been approved by AUDA. However, we are not able to undertake the above construction due to lack of fund . We appeal to all devotees to extend their possible help for the further construction of the school buildings. Names of substantial donors have been inscribed and exhibited at an appropriate place in the school building and will continue to do like that forthe future donors also . A detailed programme of the festival period (Mandalam starting to Pranapratishta day) is appended. As usual, this year also we intend to bring out a souvenir on the final day of Pratishta Anniversary, the realization of which will be added to school building fund .
