It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to ‘Kovai Neocon 2014’, the 11th Annual Convention
of the National Neonatology Forum Tamilnadu State Chapter to be held on September 20th & 21st,
2014 at Kovai Medical Center Hospital (KMCH), Coimbatore.
It is indeed a great privilege and a well deserved recognition for the Coimbatore Neonatology
Association to host this major academic event in association with IAP, Coimbatore. We envisage
an academic feast with an eminent faculty from Tamilnadu and the rest of India and we are sure
you will enjoy and get enriched by the event.
Conference Theme is “Baby first and always” which is a tribute to the hard working and intelligent
neonatologist who puts the baby’s interest ahead of everything else and works towards achieving
the best possible outcome for the tiny tots under his/her care.
Coimbatore - Kongu Nadu is often referred to as the Manchester of South India. It is surrounded
by the Western Ghats and the (Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve) on the northern side. The city enjoys
the pleasant, salubrious climate due to this. The city is well connected by Air, Rail & Roadways. It
remains the preferred healthcare destination for people from nearby states and also finds a place
in the global medical tourism market. Coimbatore is a good place to come with family as it has
number of Amusement parks, water theme park & bird watcher destinations. Last but not the
least the renowned hill station ‘Queen of Hills’, Ooty is just 2-3 hours drive from here.
