CEO Letter – Message from Manny
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the 2014 National Society of
Hispanic MBAs Annual Conference and
Career Expo! Every year our organization
continues to grow to reflect the needs of
the Hispanic community and this year is no
exception. During this conference, we will be adding the
Entrepreneur and the Military Veterans programs that will
compliment our growing Women’s Leadership Network and
the Ignite undergraduate programs. To highlight this further,
this year the NSHMBA Gala will make history by awarding
the first Military Brillante Award to a Medal of Honor.
Our organizational evolution echoes our latest efforts to
foster U.S. Hispanic education while continuing to be the
premier network for Hispanic business professionals.
This year we refocused our three social media platforms,
including a diversity focused Career Management Center to
enhance the services being provided to our constituents.
NSHMBA has also responded to the growing interest from
U.S. corporations looking to build a broader pipeline of
talented and educated Hispanics by expanding its programs
and services to include undergraduate and high school
students.
Again, I welcome you to this year’s Conference &
Career Expo.
Manuel “Manny” Gonzalez
CEO
2014 ANNUAL CONFERENCE & CAREER EXPO
Our mission over the next five years aims to empower
Hispanics at all levels of education and career attainment to
achieve their full socioeconomic potential. This upcoming
year is pivotal for our organization and I invite you to join us
as we continue our legacy in education excellence and our
path towards new strategic growth.

BIGGER & BETTER THAN EVER!
The National Society of Hispanic MBAs features the Ignite
Program, an event specifically designed for undergraduate
students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in science,
technology, engineering, math, business or finance. Ignite
aims to promote educational and career success for Hispanic
students. The Ignite Program is based on NSHMBA’s belief
that Hispanic success in education and in the labor market is
of both immediate and long-term importance to America’s
economy. Therefore, Ignite provides college students with
the opportunity to prepare for their first job, discover the
benefits of pursing graduate school and take an inside look
into the rigors of graduate programs.
