2. Setting an NMS Appointment
With NMS switched on, RxWeb will detect when an item from the NMS list of drugs is dispensed to
a patient for the first time.
After the prescription has been dispensed, the NMS Items Found screen will open.
This allows you to book an appointment for the patient for their NMS review.
It automatically selects a date in the calendar two weeks on from the date of the item being
dispensed (you can change this date by selecting an alternative day on the calendar if you wish).
If there are any other appointments for that day, they will show on the right of the screen.
The default time for the first appointment of the day is 8:00am. You can select an alternative time
if you wish.
You can choose if the appointment has been Identified by Pharmacist or Referred by Prescriber.
There are options to select whether the review will be carried out In Person or By Phone.
To set the appointment, click on the Yes button at the bottom (a consent form will be printed if the
option is ticked)
