Tieto PCIe Smart NIC, based on the Axxia® Communication Processor (AXM5500), provides OEMs a simple way to add high performance,
deterministic networking acceleration for standard off-the-shelf servers.
Product overview
Tieto PCIe Smart NIC provides inline and co-processor
acceleration of security processing, content processing, and realtime services such as application recognition, network packet capture, network performance
monitoring, analysis, and reporting. The PCIe Smart
NIC consolidates co-processor acceleration cards
and network interface cards (NICs), providing cost and
power savings while delivering high performance and
programmability.

The platform software includes the Axxia Run Time
Environment (RTE) and Axxia Software Environment

OEM to quickly customize the card using highlevel APIs that are common across all of the Axxia
Communication Processor solutions. This allows a
single application software investment to be leveraged
across multiple generations of products based on the
Axxia Communication Processor family.
Applications developed using the Avago software
packages and tools can be ported across any Linux®
operating system.
