Glenn Heights National Night Out 2014
The Glenn Heights National Night Out will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2014, from 6:00
p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Citizens and the community are invited to gather at Heritage Park,
400 East Bear Creek Road, to join forces with their Police Department for the "31st
Annual National Night Out", which is a crime and drug prevention effort. This is the
City’s 15th year to participate. The annual affair will feature music, bounce houses, a
rock climbing wall, games, the Glenn Heights Police Department train ride, the Glenn
Heights Fire Department clowns, and a children’s Petting Zoo. There will be plenty of
free hot dogs, pizza, drinks, and giveaways for those in attendance.
Local law enforcement partners will be there, including the Dallas County and Ellis
County Sheriff’s Departments, the Red Oak ISD Police Department and the Dallas Area
Rapid Transit Police Department. There will be informational booths staffed by Glenn
Heights Crisis Services, the North Texas Auto Theft Task Force, Glenn Heights Fire
Department, the Glenn Heights Police Department, Texas Poison Control, ATMOS
Energy, and many others. In addition, there will be educational information available
for those in attendance, including information on code violations and storm water
management. “It is again expected to be a fun filled educational night where citizens
and law enforcement are able to bond together in a fight against crime”.
All are encouraged to come out on Tuesday, October 7th to meet your neighbors, City
staff, your elected officials, and your Police Department. The Glenn Heights National
Night Out is always a night for our community to be proud of. It provides everyone an
opportunity to stand together to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity.
National Night Out in Glenn Heights truly shows that we are a “Community of
Neighbors”. We hope to see you there!
