Even Higher Purity— the Advanced Alphan ALPHAN is a biaxially oriented polypropylene film from OJI F-Tex. The new ALPHAN High-Grade Types are based on capacitor OPP film technology and are ideal as release films for electric and electronic materials, which are rapidly evolving, and for such special industrial applications as cover films for manufacturing processes. Oji F-Tex provides OPP films with corona treatment, specially processed surfaces and other specifications to meet the needs of its customers. Characteristics of ALPHAN High-Grade Types ALPHAN High-Grade Type Series It’ s common for OPP films to include such additives as anti-blocking and anti-static agents in order to enhance E-201F functionality. In the electric materials field, however, these NEW NEW FG-201 ER-440 MAM-430 additives can interfere with the electric materials’ functions. For this reason, customers require functional films that offer low pollution risk for the electric materials. Oji F-Tex has developed the ALPHAN High-Grade Types with a minimal amount of additives. Utilizing the surface inertness properties of polypropylene films, the High-Grade Types can be used as release films without the use of a release additive coating. The new High-Grade Types include an ultra-thin type, a variable surface type (from highly smooth surfaces to high mat-tone surfaces), and a fish-eye less type which prevents defects caused by fine surface protrusions. With their Anti-blocking agent silicon-free design, all of the new films have superior release 200μm properties, and there are also new easy-release types with improved releasability available to meet diverse customer requirements. ALPHAN FG-201 (Fish-eye less type) 200μm General PET film Applications ・Release films for optics and semiconductors ・Films for transfer ・Surface protection films ・Cover films for adhesive and bonding surfaces ・Over-laminating films ・Carrier films for manufacturing processes Fish-eye 200μm General packaging film Ultra-thin type ALPHAN EM-501 This ultra-thin film maintains OPP qualities while pushing the bounds of thinness. The film has handling properties that make it applicable for capacitor manufacturing processes. Standard thickness ranges from 4~15µm (thinner grades are also available). Highly smooth surface type ALPHAN E-201F This highly transparent OPP film has a highly smooth surface featuring minimal amount of anti-blocking agents and small protrusions causing fish-eye defects. The minimization of small protrusions not only prevents defects and problems with appearance, but also transfer-related problems. Fish-eye less type ALPHAN FG-201 NEW Compared with previous High-Grade Types, this OPP film raises the standard for reducing fish-eye defects. This type is ideal for applications requiring high-quality appearance and surface properties. Mat-tone type ALPHAN MA-411, MA-420, MAM-430 This OPP film features an uneven mat-tone surface produced without additives or secondary processing. The film comes in a wide range of specifications, from a fine roughness to ultra-high roughness. The range is differentiated by both appearance and function. For example, the film surface qualities can be transferred to carrier surfaces, while the friction coefficients can also be controlled. Easy-release type ALPHAN ER-440 NEW Although OPP films are designed to have release properties, this film further improves releasability. This new film reduces the peel force of the adherend by about 20% compared with ALPHAN E-201F, expanding the possible combined applications with adhesive materials.
