Magnetic proximity switch MHS-1005
1. General
MHS-1005 is a magnetic proximity switch which utilize a Hall element.
MHS-1005 detects the magnetic field and identify the N pole and S pole. The
outputs generate ON or OFF signal according to the detected magnetic pole.
MHS-1005-N is activated by N pole and MHS-1005-S is activated by S pole.
The operating magnetic field strength is set as 0.5mT and 0.8mT.

MHS-1005 should be installed

from
magnetic
field
generating objects such as a
motor to avoid false operation due
to the magnetic field interference.
Since Ferro-magnetic material
such as iron affects the magnetic
field distribution, the activating
range would be changed and
distorted.
To
prevent
this
inadequate operation, the iron
bracket should be kept away from
the tip of the sensor as described
below.

4. Installation
MHS-1043 should be installed in non-ferrous material (aluminum, brass, SUS304, etc.)
and kept away from magnetic field (e.g. motor). In case there is ferrous material
(e.g. iron) near the detection center of the switch, magnetic flux distribution is
disturbed and detection sensitivity is affected. In this case please make the space
around the switch as below.

UDS-1044 is a guide sensor for automated guided vehicles.
UDS-1044 detects the magnetic tape on the route and the plural number of
magnetic switches in the sensor housing turns ON when they detect the
magnetic flux generated by the magnetic tape.

UDS-1044 should be installed away from the magnetic field generating objects. It
should not be installed near a drive motor of the vehicle.
It should be installed in a nonmagnetic bracket. In case there is a magnetic frame
near sensor, the sensor should be kept away from the frame as below.
