EKT provides digital set top box solutions as the world converts from analogue to digital
reception. The DID7006 provides a sophisticated low cost entry into the world of high
definition OTT TV, bringing uncompromising performance in beautifully styled housings,
at an affordable price.
The DID7006 is a high performance, high definition, Dual core ARM cortex A9 SOC, h.264,
IP/OTT STB. Powered by the 5000 DMIPS Ali M3733 processor, with 512MB DDR3 and
512MB NAND Flash plus native 3D support. The unit provides an RJ45, USB 2.0, SPDIF,
HDMI 1.4 and Optional WiFi (uses 1 x USB port). Picture resolutions up to 1080p, MPEG-1
layers 1, 2, 3 (MP3), and optional Dolby, Dolby plus, AAC and AAC+.
A fully featured and industry standards compliant software solution is provided by
SolidTVTM, which can either be used as a stand alone middleware, supporting a native or
HTML based user interfaces (UI), or it can be used in conjunction with a 3rd party software
client/middleware, providing a 3rd party UI and portal.
A number of DRMs have been implemented, including Microsoft hardened playready,
secure media and Verimatrix.
Housing is an all plastic design, which allows WiFi reception without additional antennae.
A number of sophisticated housings designs are available.

SolidStarter is the first run wizard and leads the user through the
settings to define the Ethernet, Wi-Fi and DVB settings.
SolidWrapper is the abstraction layer allowing any 3rd party
middleware to be ported easily onto the EKT Hardware.
This ensures an up-to-date Starter stack to link the user to current
and next-generation systems.
SolidWrapper offers complete STB control, is agnostic of the main
chipset being used and is written in the latest and market leading
software languages in HTML5 - Javascript and QML.
Startter will be continuously updated to cover the lastest IP security
and IP standards like IPV6.
SolidWrapper offers an abstraction layer to the System, Network
and Updater HALs, and SolidDVB.
SolidBrowser is one of todays most complete SoC browsers
available based on a Qt WebKIT build. Features include:
SolidPlayer is a complete Media Player covering all of todays
required codecs and container formats.
DVB JS extensions, solidPlayer JS extensions, HbbTV 1.1 Plug in (1.5
& 2.0 on roadmap), DSM-CC interface, CE HTML, HTML5.
Solidplayer is available as a plug-in in Solid Browser and therefore
allows for any media playback from the web. UPnP allows for
playback from the home network or USB drives.
SolidBrowser scores “348 + 13” (Bonus for Audio and VideoTAG) on
the HTML5 compatibility testing (HTML5test.com) – putting it on
par with the most advanced browsers in the market. Plug ins for:
