The Anson County Arts
Council is sponsoring a
free 2-day workshop,
GRITS: Girls Really Inspired to Shine, for rising
4th to 8th grade girls at
the Ansonia Theatre in
Wadesboro on Monday,
August 11, and Tuesday,
August 12, from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Participants will
explore songwriting, dramatic interaction, writing
for the stage, and confidence-building techniques
for stage and life. A special presentation will take
place at 4:30 p.m. on the
last day of the camp.
The workshop is FREE to
the first 30 applicants. All
those interested must fill out
an application and waiver
(available at the Anson
County Arts Council, 110
South Rutherford Street in
Wadesboro) and deliver
them to the Arts Council office. For more information,
