HANABI-PIV Metaphase Auto-Spreader ® Pre-Installation Guide Pre-Installation Requirements When selecting an installation site the following environmental conditions should be avoided: – Exposure to high temperatures and humidity. Operating environment is 15-30 ºC and 20%-60% relative humidity – Exposure to strong vibrations or possible impact – Potential exposure to salt content or corrosive gas – Inclined (uneven) areas; the instrument must be installed on a level surface – Areas in the vicinity of radio equipment (may result in instrument malfunction) – Dusty areas – Confined spaces (the equipment requires space around the exhaust outlets to enable air cooling) Please ensure access from the point of delivery to the installation site. The instrument is delivered in two crates: The approximate weight and dimensions of the crated instrument are as follows: Crate 1) 444 kg /977 lbs, 152 cm wide x 101 cm deep x 231 cm high/60” wide x 40” deep x 91” high. The approximate weight and dimensions of the uncrated instrument are as follows: 354 kg / 778 lbs, 107 cm wide x 71 cm deep x 193 cm high /42” wide x 28” deep x 76” high. For safety purposes, please use a forklift when you move the crated instrument. The forklift‘s two forks must slide under the equipment from the front or back side of the crate. Never attempt sliding the forks in from the side or damage could occur. Before unpacking the crate, move it to a flat area near the installation site. To reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to the equipment, be sure that there are at least four people available to remove the instrument from the crate. Push only on the four corners of the instrument when you move it on the casters as the cover might dent when the cover is pushed. The equipment requires space around the exhaust outlets to enable air circulation and cooling. Please allow for a minimum space around the instrument on the left side of (>0.75 m), on the right side of (>1.0 m), and behind it of (>0.2 m) from the wall or other objects. Power Requirements U.S. and Other 120 V Countries The U.S. model is supplied with a 3 pronged grounded plug that connects into a standard grounded outlet. The instrument is built with a 120V, 60Hz power supply and should be connected to a dedicated power outlet with a fused 120V, 60 Hz, 1 phase, 15 amp supply with AWG #14 wiring. 230 V Countries The EC model is supplied with a 3 pronged grounded plug that connects into a standard grounded outlet. The instrument is built with a 230V, 50Hz power supply and should be connected to a dedicated power outlet with a fused 230V, 50 Hz, 1 phase, 15 amp supply with AWG #14 wiring.
