OSI Now NAID Certified
OSI has recently earned the distinction of NAID
certification. NAID’s certification program was
developed by information security professionals
and is recognized by thousands of private and
governmental organizations around the world. All
documents are transported in locked containers and
shredded in a 24 hour secure monitored environment
under the supervision of our background checked
employees. OSI provides secure document destruction to meet the needs of large and small businesses as
well as individuals in Chambersburg and surrounding
areas. Free and fast quotes will be provided for both
monthly and purge services. Please call 717-263-9293
for more information!
OSI has been providing document destruction
services since November 2013. One of
our first customers in this new venture
was Physical Therapy, Etc., a community leader in physical and occupational therapy. OSI’s NAID certified clients

a monthly basis, and transport the documents in locked bins to OSI, where they

Welcome New Staff
A Question and Answer interview
to get you acquainted with our staff
Tell us a little about your life, before you worked at
OSI.
My name is Dee Patton. I grew up on a dairy farm in
Huntingdon County and graduated from Southern Huntingdon High School in 1979. I then graduated from Penn State
in 1983 with a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. I taught Life Skills at Chambersburg Area
Senior High School for 28 years. I also helped organize the
volunteers for the Franklin County Special Olympics Track
and Field for over 20 years. I coached JV Girls Basketball
at CASHS for 6 years. I live in Greencastle with my husband and two children. My husband retired from Verizon
and now works with the FAA in Leesburg, VA. My son is
22 years old and a security guard in Hagerstown and my
daughter is 18 years old and a freshman at Wilson College. I have two brothers, one older and one younger.
How did you hear about OSI and end up working
here?
While I was teaching at Chambersburg, our life skills
program placed students at OSI. Over the years, we placed
many students at OSI and I was already very familiar with
some of the staff and the work environment. Some of my
former students are still working here. After giving up my

position of teaching, OSI was the first place I thought about
for employment. There was no job opening at first, but I
was patient and have not regretted my decision.
Tell us about your job and why you like it here.
When I first started at OSI in September 2012, I was
a job coach. I went with the Schreiber crew for several
months before I was sent with a new crew to Staples. We
packed sodas and then branched out to paper towels, toilet
paper, and toners. They are a very hard working crew
and I enjoyed being their job coach. I became a Floor
Supervisor in March 2013 and have enjoyed the clients and
staff tremendously. Even if some days, I do not feel like
being at work, that all changes as soon as the clients walk
through the door. They are such an inspiration and a joy to
be around.
Tell us about what you enjoy doing or about any
hobbies.

Welcome New Clients
My interests include being with my family and friends
and doing whatever is planned. I feel growing up on a
farm taught me great work ethics and I don’t like to sit still
for very long. I have played basketball in high school and
college and softball in my younger years. I have coached
the same sports for my kids. Now that they are older,
(and so am I), I enjoy just sitting and watching sportsespecially Penn State! I play the piano, saxophone and ride
a motorcycle. I enjoy photography, fixing up our 100 year
old house, and reading.

Exceptional People - Exceptional Results
In Production, we’re
embarking on a new project
with local manufacturer DL
Martin of Mercersburg. After
months of planning and
logistics, we are at last seeing
the fruits of our labor. Our
kitted hardware packs will
be inserted with elevators
produced at DL Martin and
shipped to customers. It’s a
Jeremy Waechter wonderful partnership with a
Production Manager
local company and provides a
constant flow of work for our clients! This job marks
a gentle shift in our business, as we are now classified
as the construction trade in general. During their
search for a new distribution partner, the folks at
Volvo began researching OSI as a potential candidate.
Since then, we’ve met several times to discuss
logistics and fulfillment, while at the same time,
showcasing the vast abilities of our clients and staff
to meet production demands. Shortly after, Volvo
approved OSI as sole distributor of Spirit to all points
in the United States as well as Canada. Over 12,000
issues of the magazine will be distributed quarterly
after they arrive from overseas. And this will all
happen RIGHT HERE! We’re very excited at the
prospect!
Kitted hardware packs for DL Martin
as “vendor” instead of simply “fulfillment center”. This change will have us managing our own inventory
and acting as sole supplier for a variety of part
numbers. With weekly deliveries to DL Martin, we’ll
be replenishing their inventory on a normal rotation.
This “Just In Time” approach minimizes the inventory
DL Martin needs to keep on hand while allowing our
clients to build ahead, creating an inventory to cover
fluctuations in retail sales.
OSI will also launch
a new project with
Volvo Construction
Equipment in May,
distributing their Spirit
Magazine to North
America. This highquality trade magazine
offers insight into
Volvo’s products as well
We have 15 non or low fat flavors daily
along with over 40 toppings to choose
from. Pay by the ounce, try something
new every time you come!

cream and other desserts, but your taste
buds still won’t be disappointed!

Intellectual Disabilities Awareness
Special Event
March was ID Awareness Month. On March 28,
2014 OSI held a party to celebrate. OSI’s theme for
the month was “Kindness”. Each day kindness was
announced by various inspirational messages. An
art contest was held. There were 51 participants.
Jane Cline, Marion Rowe and Lori Young from
the Franklin/Fulton County MH/ID/EI judged the
Artwork and presented Ability at Work T-shirts which
everyone received. Sarah Holtry from Udderly
Delicious donated delicious yogurt for all. Everyone
celebrated by dancing to the song “Happy”.
