Resi-Ply™ Forming System Resi-Ply™ 11/8" Forming System The Resi-Ply Forming System is a 11/8" plywood system designed especially for residential foundations and low industrial concrete walls. The Resi-Ply Forming System can be positioned and set quickly. Each form has attached hardware that secures the ties and subsequent form. This connection also helps align the formwork. Waler brackets slide over the hex head bolts and accept standard lumber to bring formwork into final alignment. Resi-Ply Panels, Fillers and Ties are interchangeable with other 11/8" plywood forming systems. There’s no need to obsolete your current system in order to switch to the Resi-Ply Forming System. u Durable, 11/8" 100/100 HDO conforms to U.S. Product Standard PSI-83 for structural I plywood for consistent strength and quality. u Attached locking hardware eliminates the extra costs associated with lost parts and speeds setting. u Variety of form heights from 2' to 10' with 4-bar, 5-bar and 6-bar configurations provide extra versatility and compatibility. u Relatively flat panel design takes up less space and leaves more room on the truck to transport other materials. u Complete list of Fillers and Corners with several backing bar configurations means no improvising or job-building. Typical 4-bar panel 2 Corners and Walers Corners Durable all-steel corners are available in heights of 2' through 10' in 1' increments. Additional reinforcement is added to maintain true 90° corners while saving time. Inside Corners are available in 4" x 4", 4" x 6" , or 6" x 6" dimensions, for added versatility. 1" x 1" Outside Corners are manufactured with latches for easy assembly. Alternate 2" x 2" Outside Corners provide yet another way to form corners. Walers In handset applications, the strength of the panels make waling necessary for alignment only. Resi-Ply™ requires only one row of walers for each tier of panels. Waler brackets are available in 6", 8", 10" and 12" sizes. Symons offers several time-saving and material-saving attachment options for walers to maximize jobsite productivity. Inside Corner 1" x 1" Outside Corner 2" x 2" Outside Corner Waler Bracket Top Waler Bracket When attached to each panel and filler, the 2" x 6" Waler Bracket provides quick and easy form alignment when used with conventional lumber. A Top Waler Bracket is placed at top of the form to support a 2" x 4" lumber waler. The wedge quickly aligns forms with a vertical blow from a hammer. Line-up Rail The Line-up Rail virtually eliminates the use of a lumber waler. The flared design allows easy installation along the top edge of forms. Line-up Rail 3 Ties and Hardware Standard Resi-Ply Tie Ties Resi-Ply Ties are designed to provide easy break-off and are manufactured from high-quality steel. Straight or bent ties are available in any length with an ultimate capacity of 5000 pounds. A standard Break Off Tool is used to break tie ends for quick form stripping. Resi-Ply Bent Tie Scaffold Brackets The Scaffold Bracket Assembly provides a safe working platform for concrete placing operations and meets established OSHA recommendations. The Scaffold Bracket has four keyhole-shaped slots that fit over the bolt heads of the 4-bar, 5-bar or 6-bar system. It is designed with a clip angle to accommodate a 2" x 6" wooden waler. Scaffold Brackets Patent # 5316253 Note: Scaffold brackets are for work platforms only and may not be used to support cantilevered soffit forms or construction materials. Resi-Ply Aligners The Resi-Ply Form Aligner is designed with a latch plate on one end for quick and easy attachment to the shoulder bolt of a panel. These handy aligners are easy to adjust and eliminate the waste of wood bracing. Note: Form Aligners are intended to plumb formwork, and are not to be used to resist concrete pressure or other loads. Resi-Ply Aligners 4 Hinged and Bay Corners Hinged Corners The Inside Hinged Corner form inside corners down to 45°, significantly reducing job-building costs for unusual corner configurations. 4 x 4 Inside Hinge Corner Hinged Corners come in either a 4" or 8" face to accommodate forming an outside corner. Note: Because of the inherent flexibility of hinges, formed corners should always be waled, braced, and blocked as required. 135° Filler 45° Bay Corner Clip Filler Inside Hinged Corner Inside Bay Corners The Inside Bay Corner is used opposite of the 45° Bay Corner Clip and forms an accurate 135° angle wall corner. The standard 4 3/4" x 43/4" face is used in combination with an 8" Filler adjustment to the Bay Corner Clip when pouring an 8" wall. The attached latches quickly connect the adjacent panel or filler. 45° Bay Corner Clips The 45° Bay Corner Clip used opposite of the Inside Bay Corner or the Inside Hinged Corner forms a 135° angle wall corner. Corner Clips are attached at bar locations adjusted to proper filler width and height. The 45° Bay Corner Clip provides accurate outside corners quickly and economically. Outside Bay Corners The Outside Bay Corner is used opposite of the Inside Bay Corner and forms a 135° angle wall. The attached latches quickly connect the adjustment panel or filler. Because it is manufactured as one piece, the Outside Bay Corner will maintain its shape without additional waling and bracing. The Stacking Panel is designed with two cross bars, the bottom bar overlaps the top of the panel or filler below for additional strength. The Stacking Panel and Stacking Angle provide forming flexibility without added job-built costs. Stacking Angles The Resi-Ply Stacking Angle is designed as a strongback angle when using the Stacking Panels. The Stacking Angle has five keyholeshaped slots that fit over the bolt heads of the bracing bars on the Stacking Panel and the top bar on the form below. The maximum center-to-center spacing of the Stacking Angle is eight feet. Stacking Panel with Stacking Angle (Patent pending) 6 Special Fillers and Bar Spacings 4" and 5" Filler These fillers are manufactured without connecting latches to eliminate interference with the adjacent panel or filler. A standard latch is used to lock the 4" or 5" filler into position. Optional Steel Fillers Resi-Ply™ steel fillers 4", 5", 6", 7", and 8" sizes are available. These fillers are manufactured for added strength and longer life. Special Bar Spacing Resi-Ply can be manufactured to accommodate various bar spacings. The bottom bar is 8" from the bottom of the form, and the remaining bars can be placed at any full inch increment above the bottom bar. Filler w/o Latch Steel Filler 7 Accessories Stacking Plate The Stacking Plate is used to align forms at the intersection between two panel heights. The center notch provides a tie placement to prevent misalignment of panels and fillers. Beam Pockets The Beam Pocket is a quick way to form boxouts for steel beams. Nailing tabs allow attachment to forms, and the drafted shape makes stripping easier. Heavy gauge steel makes the Beam Pocket durable and reusable. Stacking Plate Half Clip and Corner Clips Half Clips are used for forming against an existing wall, or where the panel or filler latch interferes with the forming application. Corner clips are used to secure inside and outside corners if corner latches are missing and for competitive corners without latches. Replacement of attached hardware is simple with hardware accessories. Beam Pocket Half Clip Corner Clip Latch Sleeve Nuts Phillips Head Screws 8 PB Hex Head Bolts Anchor Bolts Anchor Bolts are used to fasten sill plates to concrete. One end of the anchor bolt is threaded and extends above the sill plate to receive a nut and washer. The end embedded in the concrete is usually bent into a “J” shape for greater holding ability. Magic Kote® Magic Kote is the most widely recognized form release in the concrete construction industry.
