HF/SSB PACTOR data with USB, GPS and Radio Control
SEND EMAIL, transfer files, real-time data links and weather information. The PTC-IIusb modem is
a feature packed interface between your PC and radio equipment for sending data (such as email) over
long distances. The PTC-IIusb supports the robust PACTOR I, II modes and is fully compatible with
PACTOR III for performance up to 4800 baud. PACTOR digital modes will maintain data links in the most

adverse conditions over distances of 6000 miles or more. The PTC-IIusb includes a NMEA/GPS interface
for position and wind instument data for use in email and auto position reporting. RS-232 and TTL radio
control comes standard enabling the PTC-IIusb to “remote control” nearly all radio models.
Powered by a 32 bit Motorola 68360 RISC CPU and 56303 DSP (digital
signal processor), the PTC-IIusb is superior technology for HF radio data
transfers. Builtin NMEA interface and packet radio operation for VHF/
UHF up to 19.2k baud rates with no additional hardware required.

and others. Use the PTC-IIusb with commercial stations WLO, SailMail, CruiseEmail, UUplus and

Built in NMEA 0183 interface for GPS and instrument
data. Enables auto position reporting.
Weather FAX (AM, FM, Meteosat), NAVTEX, SITOR,
RTTY, SSTV and CW operation. Reception and
transmission. CW operation with automatic speed
adaptation using DSP algorithms.
All significant link and controller status are displayed on
eight front panel bi-color LEDs. Excellent tuning display,
15 LEDs with center function.

Features of the PACTOR Mode
Automatic transceiver output power adaptation to the
quality of the HF link and the required data throughput.
Capable of full speed performance in adverse conditions
- signals can be inaudible to the human ear. PACTOR
will “punch through” when voice transmissions will not.
SCS modems are backwards compatible with all known
PACTOR implementations.
Utilizing the latest constraint length convolutional coding
technology with full frame interleaving and Viterbi
decoder combined with very efficient Memory ARQ
algorithms.
VHF/UHF Packet built-in. No extra modules to buy
(single port operation).
Firmware stored in flash memory. Easy update via a PC.
Mail display at the front panel shows the operator there
is new mail. Battery backup for the clock and CMOS
RAM. No data loss when switched off.
The PTC-IIusb is usable as a DSP filter (denoiser) with
programmable parameters; Auto peak, auto notch,
passband filter, inversion, delay line, function generator...
Hostmode, extended hostmode, CRC-hostmode. Fully
compatible to nearly all modern PC programs. Integrates
with FBB/Winlink networking and mailing systems.
