With the Geofacets Connector, you gain access to hundreds of thousands of georeferenced geologic maps sourced from trusted publishers such as Elsevier, Geological Society of London, Geological Society of America, Society for Sedimentary Geology, and Society of Economic Geologists. Maps are easily discoverable using the Geofacets Connector’s intuitive search features, and each map contains a link to a read-only PDF of the source article for added context and insight. Integrate relevant maps directly into your 2D and 3D Petrel platform projects to help validate proprietary models with external insights, learn more about the geologic characteristics of an area, and more. GEOFACETS CONTENT As mentioned in the previous section, with the Geofacets Connector, you gain access to hundreds of thousands of georeferenced geologic maps sourced from over 60 scientific journals and publications from the following publishers: • Elsevier, Geological Society of London • The Geological Society of America • SEPM Society for Sedimentary Geology • Society of Economic Geologists. The Geofacets Connector delivers: • Trusted, curated content base with hundreds of thousands of peer-reviewed geologic maps sourced from over 65 leading scientific journals and publications in one platform, updated weekly • Location-based, keyword, and advanced search features that are developed specifically to find relevant content quickly and effectively • Links to associated full-text articles that provide additional insight and context for content • Ability to integrate and load georeferenced maps as custom domain objects directly into Petrel projects • Ability to save searches and set up alerts that make it easier to stay up-to-date with the most recent published maps and information available With the Geofacets Connector, exploration has never been more seamless. DOMAIN OBJECTS The Geofacets Connector enables users to load georeferenced maps directly into their Petrel projects as custom domain objects. However, the Geofacets Connector plug-in does not modify any native Petrel data in Petrel user’s project.
