I have really enjoyed serving as the President this year and I am looking forward to an even better 2014-2015. You should be receiving the ballots soon to elect the officers for the 2014-2015 year. Please make a point to return them as soon as you can. We want to announce the new officers at the May lunch meeting. I really appreciate all the support the group has shown over the past year by attending our lunch meetings and donating your time, money, and patience! I think we had a pretty good year and we are already planning for next year. If you know of any interesting topics or speakers you would like to hear let us know and we will try our best to arrange them to speak at one of our lunch meetings next year. With the help of the entire organization we were able to again serve our community through the DiscoverE program, Engineers Week Banquet, MATHCOUNTS, and as a sponsor of the Roper Mountain Science and Engineering Fair. SCSPE’s annual state convention is being held this year in Hilton Head from June 12-15th. This is an excellent opportunity to become more involved in the state chapter, to network with other SCSPE members in the state, and to pick up several PDH’s. Speaking from experience, the convention is spouse and family friendly, with multiple spouse/family activities throughout the day and evenings.
