TN-1P Managed SDH multiplexer Communications SDH TRANSMISSION Features of the TN-1P ● ● ● ● ● ● ● The TN-1P is an SDH fibre transmission system designed to deliver 2 Mbit/s services to places, where full STM-1 access is not a requirement. The TN-1P is engineered specifically for low fill STM-1 links to replace 8 Mbit/s (4x2 Mbit/s) PDH systems in all new applications. The system provides high quality and availability of network services for the end-user and reduced operational costs for the network operator. The TN-1P is fully integrated into the Network Management System. TN-1P Attributes Space efficient for installations within street cabinets or on customer premises: – wall mounted – in rack ● ● ● ● ● ● Highly cost effective way of delivering leased line services to small and medium sized businesses Provides easy and costeffective network evolution from PDH to SDH with the added benefit of network control through managed SDH solutions Works in multi-vendor environments due to standards compliant STM-1 technology and OSI communications Simplified network planning, management and installation procedures ● ● ● Added value provided Remote access to inventory data through Network Four 2 Mbit/s G.703 ports 75/120 ohm over STM-1 Surveillance and control is provided through the Network Management System. This system is already managing over 10 000 in-service network elements worldwide. The integration of the TN-1P under this management umbrella allows network operators the opportunity to integrate their entire transmission network into an SDH management system. The TN-1P management communicates via the SDH Embedded Communications Channel (ECC).
