Psychology ) Jamia Hamdard Off Campus, Kannur (JHK) is a young educational institute that has made a positive impact on its students, society and other stake holders in a short period of one year. The campus is located at the heart of the Kannur city and started functioning in the year 2013. The campus offers modern education that is reflected in our curriculum, faculty and teaching methodology. Our programmes are industry oriented and accredited by state and national agencies. We have been striving to be placed as a leading educational institution that contributes to the development of the society through innovative and modern educational programs with quality research. In a very short span, JHK students showcased very high performances in the extracurricular activities apart from class room performances. Students have participated in management fests and competed with various established colleges like Payyannur College, Govt Brennan College Thalassery ,Sir Syed College Taliparamba , Farook College Calicut , St.Josephs College Devagiri and bagged cash prizes in most of the competition. To begin with, JHK has introduced three courses at undergraduate level and planning to offer two more undergraduate programs from next academic session. It has attracted students from many districts of northern Kerala. The centre has excellent class rooms, library and state of art computer labs which facilitates teaching with modern technology. AIMS AND OBJECTIVE The JH Off-Campus, Kannur aims to build meaningful partnerships with the corporate, academic, government and social sector that result into sustainable businesses, fulfilling the collective needs of various stakeholders and the society at large. The Off-Campus offers technical and professional skills to students in different areas of management, commerce and IT. We look forward to promote a culture of academic excellence benchmarked to the best institutions in its peer group. ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR COURSES AT JHK Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Full time: Minimum three years Total seats: 60 Eligibility Passed senior secondary (12th standard/ Intermediate) examination from central board of secondary education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. Selection Procedure The admission to the BBA programme will be on the basis of merit determined by entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. The entrance test will be conducted at Jamia Hamdard Off-Campus, Kannur. Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) Full time: minimum three years Total seats: 60 Eligibility Passed senior secondary (12th standard/ Intermediate) examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects from central board of secondary education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. However, for the candidates from commerce stream, mathematics is not compulsory. Selection Procedure The admission to the BCA programme will be on the basis of merit determined by entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. The entrance test will be conducted at Jamia Hamdard Off-Campus, Kannur. Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) Full time: Minimum three years Total seats: 60 Eligibility Passed senior secondary (12th standard/ Intermediate) examination of commerce stream from central board of secondary education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. Selection Procedure The admission to the B. Com. programme will be on the basis of merit determined by entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. The entrance test will be conducted at Jamia Hamdard Off-Campus, Kannur. Bachelor of Arts in English (BA English) Full time: Minimum three years Total seats: 60 Eligibility Passed senior secondary (12th standard/ Intermediate) examination from central board of secondary education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. Selection Procedure The admission to the B. A. programme will be on the basis of merit determined by entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. Score of English obtained by students at intermediate level will be given wightage in preparing merit. The entrance test will be conducted at Jamia Hamdard Off-Campus, Kannur. Bachelor of Science in Psychology (B. Sc. Psychology) Full time: minimum three years Total seats: 60 Eligibility Passed senior secondary (12th standard/ Intermediate) examination of commerce stream from central board of secondary education or any other examination recognized by Jamia Hamdard as equivalent thereto, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. Preference in admission will be given to students who have studied Science with Biology and other streams with Psychology as one of the subjects. Selection Procedure The admission to the B.Sc (Psychology) programme will be on the basis of merit determined by entrance test conducted by Jamia Hamdard. The entrance test will be conducted at Jamia Hamdard Off-Campus, Kannur. Admissions shall be made through entrance test. For admission against foreign nationals/ NRI / Sponsored seats, entrance test is not required.
