Cristian Ricci studied singing in Verona with M° Danilo
Cestari, after that he took masterclasses with the famous
tenor Carlo Bergonzi at the “Accademia Verdiana” in
Busseto.
Being gifted with a solid and refined vocal technique, a
smooth vocality and a clear crystal timbre as a typical italian
tenor, Cristian Ricci knows how to face and cover a vast
repertory. His phrasing is being expressed by a rich variety
of niceties and his interpretation skills are excellent.
These main caracteristics of the tenor Cristian Ricci allowed
him since the beginning of his career to perform in
prestigious circles and in theatrical productions and concerts
of great reputation, like: Don Pasquale with Teatro Coccia in
Novara directed by Enzo Dara and Teatro Verdi in Sassari,
La Traviata with Teatro Verdi in Busseto directed by Franco
Zeffirelli and conducted by Placido Domingo, Salvo
D’Acquisto by A. Fortunato with Teatro Massimo, La
Bohème with Teatro Olimpico, Vicenza, Cherubin by J.
Massenet with Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and Messa di
Requiem in Triest.
From 2010 he focused his career more on Verdi and
Puccinis roles such as Ismaele in Nabucco, Mcduff in Macbeth, Rodolfo in La Bohème and Pinkerton in
Madama Butterfly and gave also international concerts such as in New York, Washington D.C. Seoul,
Istanbul, Cologne, Rome, Milan and Vienna.
In 2012 he gave his debut with the Shanghai Philarmonic Orchestra (SHOAC - Shanghai Oriental Art Center)
and in 2013 he sang as Ismaele in Nabucco at Arena di Verona for the centenary festival of the Arena.
Engagements in 2013/14 Tybalt in Gounods Romeo et Juliette at the Arena di Verona and Pinkerton in
Madama Butterfly with the State Opera Plovdiv.
Cristian Ricci is the creator and artistic director of the international singing competition “G.Martinelli-A.Pertile”
in Montagnana.
