In addition to a competitive price, it also contains many features that simplify and significantly reduce the cost of installation. The system is managed by Keri’s Doors.NET software, with powerful access control features and video integration with many popular IP cameras. The PXL-380 itself contains all the input/output functionality necessary to manage a single door (lock relay, door sense, request-to-exit, and two reader inputs). Each controller has an RS-485 port for connection to other PXL-380s (up to 16 per network) and a communication port that accepts either a USB/Serial or TCP/IP communication device for connection to the PC, which is used by the first PXL380 on the network. The controller’s two reader inputs are compatible with Keri’s acclaimed MS Series Proximity Readers (using PXL-380P controllers), or Wiegand output readers (using PXL-380W controllers). The SB-23 Door 2 Expansion Board plugs into the PXL-380 to provide 2nd door control at a cost far less than that of adding another controller. For even greater functionality, the SB-593 Satellite Expansion Board gives each PXL-380 the 2nd door control plus additional outputs that can be used for alarm condition relays.
